So i thought from playing D&D before that alignment at most will make my paladin unable to advance in lvl something or make me unable to use sword of holly avenger "Icewind:dale 2"but here i think it have alot of wight.
So can some someone point me towards an alignment guide?

I searched the general forums for one but was unlucky.

try Here (http://ddowiki.com/page/Alignment) for Weapons based on Alignment or Here (http://compendium.ddo.com/wiki/Alignment) For how they work in General.

Hope this helps :D

Edit: Realised you know about PnP DnD so the second link isnt going to help you much, compiling a seperate post with my oen break down on alignment and classes

Alignment In DDO controlls what weapons you character can use, what kind of damage that character can take, and what class that character can be:

Ex/

For a Paladin you have to be Lawfull Good, or you.. well.. cant be a paladin
For a Monk, you have to be Lawfull _____, or you cant be a monk
For a Bard you Cannot be Lawfull, so you are fine with any other alignment
For a Barbarian you also cannot be Lawfull

Mainly these restrictions are there so you cannot multiclass things like Barbarian and Paladin, it just wouldnt make sense.

Your alignment also affects what kind of damage you can take, for example if you are good based, and an enemy has a certain type of weapon he can hit for for evil damage.

^ for this reason people usually go true neutral when they can to avoid damage

Some people like to go good so they can use Pure Good weapons withought having to make a UMD check.

Hope that helps a little. :D

Again thanks alot man for your help....you are really making it too easy for me.

OK i'll be as ungrateful as ever...
I ran yesterday the Necromancer's Doom quest and in the end of this short quest there was a locked door with a chest behind it...a jucey looking one...i made sure that there was no locking mechanism but i think there is non.

The question is...where can i get a couple of knock scrolls ....you know from the spell knock of the wizard/sorcerer to open this chest?
Knowing that my class is a lvl 2 cleric and i added some points into the UMD but still too low lvl.

Again thanks.

I dont think wands/Scrolls of knock can be purchased at any venders, your best bet would be to look on the AH for random loot gen rewards, but people there can be asking for alot of money. iirc you used to be able to purchase them from a scroll vender in the marketplace, but they removed that? right? You could check there. :/ dont really know what else to tell you on that matter, sorry.

Edit: just took a look at your posts, didnt realise I was stalking you, haha XD
