So I was crafting a lovely ghost touch silver greatsword of pure good, and all was well. Then I added a +2 enhancement shard to it, and bingo! An ML9 weapon for my L7 character. D'oh! Not a biggie, I can clean it and start again, but still...
Hence my suggestion: If you're about to make ML of the item you're crafting higher than your current level, how about a prompt to the effect of "You're about to make this item unusable by someone of your level (X). Are you sure? Yes/No". At least if it's a bound item.

I believe when you examine the shards themselves that they now state how much they'll raise the minimum level of an item by - whether its 100% accurate or not i cant say though.

Yes they do, and I'll assume they're accurate until proven otherwise. That still didn't stop me hitting the "waste a few ingredients 'cos you're tired" button though. :D

I belive Eladrin mentioned something about not drinking & deconstructing a little while back... maybe there should be a warning poster in the crafting hall - "do not operate crafting machinery while drowsy or drunk?" :)

As long as it's a toggle option:

/non signed
no need to compensate OPs laziness

Extra options are not bad.

Unfortunately the only reason for drowsiness was the hour of the morning. :p I'd /sign for a suitable sign though, but still prefer my suggestion. Remember that drinking impairs your judgement, and could lead you to ignore the signs anyway!
