How many times do I see "Be able to solo a tower" or a new one "be able to solo a ship", my question is if u want people to solo it why ask for a party?

its better xp/minute

if you dont /need/ everyone together all the time(a lot of ppl heal themselves) then why not get the grind done faster.

that's really what it's about. the grind. some ppl just prefer to do it in a minimal amount of time(blame it on xp pots/shrines if you want)

i join a lot of these PUGs because I prefer them to be done that way. but i also stay away from a lot of them because i just dont know the quest that well.

There are 4 towers in Wiz King I believe - I.E. 4 man group 1 in each.

There are 3 ships in Blockade Buster.

The annoying thing about these LFMs especially for Wiz King is that it's so hard to find a group if you're new to the quest.

If you don't know it, send a msg to the leader and let them know that you'd like to follow one of them around to learn it, don't just hit the lfm though.

/this. I'll take a newer person along if they indicate they'll listen, unless I'm in a bad mood. And I post the most over-the-top LFMs like that (my favorite being 'Zerging, Elitist Jerks Only')

3 towers. ;)

Every time one of my toons hits 12/13, I join one of these or place one up.

With people splitting up, each doing a tower (3+ people), it takes 1/3 of the time to complete the quest. 7 minute completions and near max xp (around 20k?) for wiz king is just efficiency.

A lot of people who are new or unfamiliar with the quest join our runs, and it's easy to learn and to teach; and it's a great xp farm. :)

It's fun too as you race the others for who can finish their tower/ship first :)

Awesome xp/min

the same principle can apply in ALOT of quests.

splitting up to complete different objectives can REALLY save time.

another example aside from Wiz king and BB is Von5.

some of the party goes East to solve the puzzle, some go West to get the ring, rogue disables traps North.

just goes faster is all

i really thought this was gonna be a "read the lfm" thread: don't join unless you can solo a tower.

but yeah, what the folks said above.

XP-per-minute - quite often these types of groups are for players who have a focus on levelling their character quickly, and sometimes this also involves investing into XP buffs which in turn, must be fed ;)

Although I sometimes enjoy joining these groups myself, if I want the most efficient XP/minute I don't put up a random group on the LFM. (I am more likely to solo the quest or invite players who I have ran with before.) But I am happy to provide a tour that turns into a zergfest xp farm as the party's knowledge of the quest and preparedness for it becomes more concrete.

There are other factors too though - making efficient use of buffs, challenge, perhaps most controversial: preventing playstyle conflicts/drama.

Personally, I find that 'All Welcome' is less often misinterpreted than some of the more selective LFMs that I have tried.

it turns a 20 minute solo run into a nice 5 minute run with complete optionals.
