1) - Lvl 18 feat - I have Max for heals but could use Imp THW, Stun etc, Toughness etc.

2) - Lvl 20 AP allocation - any preference to spend these 2 AP on Barb Toughness II or Extra Rage II.

Feedback welcomed. Tx.

Imo either go with all THF feats or none, being in the middle (THF but no I/G THF) would be kinda so-so. No feat -> twitch, all feats -> use glancing blows.

Your hastes and displacements with extend will last 2m48 and a rage with say 40 buffed con and extend rage 1 lasts 2m15 so even with a bit more con you should be able to rebuff everytime you rage for the full rage duration, however you won't heal/scroll anything during rages. What's you intent here ? using frenzy & using rage only when not healing ? This would also prevent you from using madstone boots due to the unexpectable behaviour of procs.

Hi Malky

Tx for the prompt feedback.

I don’t have feats available for 3x THF chain though could include Imp THF at lvl 18 but that means giving up maximise.

Re Rage use - use frenzy and only raging up if healing is covered by another. I can always withdraw from melee, cancel Rage and take up emergency heals/rez if prime healing goes awash.

To be honest - I have no experience with madstone boots so I am not able to reply to your point in any meaningful way. Are u saying that under the influence of madstone boots, my big axe may not have the correct proc % as gained by frenzy, THF etc?

Who ever said dwarfs are as thick as rock? :p

As long as you are under the influence of the madstone rage from the boots (which procs randomly and stacks with the clicky which has the same limitation), you cannot cast any spells, not even from scrolls or wands.

And opposite to normal barbarian rage, you cannot stop it yourself (a friendly arcane or bard in group may have the wand to dispel it though... quite seldom that people have this wand)...

In my opinion, a virtuoso should stay pure, so you can concentrate on the crowed control aspects of the prestige. Mixing in barbarian with a bard makes usually only sense if you go warchanter (giving bonis like extra rage and stuff).

Iirc, barbarian class should give you a weapon focus, and you plan to swap in power attack at sometime ... so you can easily swap back and forth between warchanter and virtuoso and nothing is really lost with your build in the end.

Tx boomeranky.

Isn’t the madstone wand in Tor quest? Could I carry it and loan to another to use on me if that was agreed?

I reckon swapping between Virtuoso and Warchanter should be fairly straight forward on this build.

Point taken about convention of Virt = pure and WC = splash.

Thing is that with dwarf and CHA - little CC other than by song is gona happen. This build maintains perform throughout the levelling so my song will be only marginally less than if I went pure Virtuoso.

I have previously played Warchanter (Genghis Khan build) - never Virtuoso. Call it a terminal case of dwarf curiosity! :D
