Since Devs are aware in how poor state is ranged combat, so they try to save the future warchanters some sorrows. Its for their own good.

BTW it will fit better in suggestion section, not that devs read either, but there must be order of things.

The description of warchanter says improving melee fighting capabilities.

It is a nice bonus that the songs still apply to ranged weapons, but in no way a warchanter is meant to hide behind and sneak range mobs as a primarily means of fighting - he is meant to be at the front fighting and singing in the middle of the battle.

Ranged attack while nice to have as a secondary means to fight, is in no way what a warchanter should do primarily.

If someday turbine decides to give our bards more love, I could imagine a line for ranged combat too. Warchanter is melee though.

My suggestion (which I think I posted in the Suggestions forum) was to allow WF Ranged & Bow STR OR WF Thrown & Brutal Throw qualify for Warchanter.
