Max CHA on a MCed Virt is a waste of build pts (you don't need it for Perform and your spell DCs will be lacking without more effort) and I don't see why you took some feats, like Shield Mastery & Brutal Throw. Maybe you could elaborate on what you want to do with this char?

Hail Unbongwah. Tx for the prompts.

So you got me thinking .....

Firstly I play exclusively dwarf - that has it's self-imposed limits re min/max and also tends to limit the range of character class(s) suited for a dwarf.

Previously I have played WC mix (Genghis Khan) and more recently Cleric/fgt. Even got a dwarf mage/rogue off the ground :D

So for this - I want a generalist. I almost always play PUG - don’t have time or desire to grind into maxland.

Spells taken for this character reflect poor DC - mainly focus on buffs, heals and personal protection.

I have access to some reasonable big axes, Id also like the opt of DR with tower shield and sustaining song along with heals/DA.

Feats - yup to be sure it's a mishmash: Initially will probably run with carnifex as main and have shield/DA for as required (never say never in PUGland)

Brutal throw allows me the opt of stand off, shield up, some ranged damage while 2nd healing etc.

DP clickies etc I have available etc.

Heals - quicken, max, (and eventually replace extend with empower heal)
Need reasonable UMD for flexibility as well as heal scrolls without too much reshuffling.

I like the challenge of blending my play style to meet each PUG. Death doesn’t make my blood pressure go through the roof.

This game is one of my leisure activities - I have np buying SP pots from DDO store - I don’t have an ego issue re spending some RL money playing this - its sure is cheaper than fishing or golfing or most other 40-something male leisure activities. ;)

Finally I believe I will have hours of enjoyment playing this character - a jackass of little-value trades.

I get your point about CHA - I may drop it down and put a little more into STR.

Tx for your time Unbongwah. My default position is respect when I see yours (and some others) input.

Dwarf should go all the way with constitution and racial toughness enhancements.

Biggest issue with shield on a bard is arcane spell failure; the Skyvault Shield (http://ddowiki.com/page/Skyvault_Shield) has 0% ASF, but I don't know what else are good options. Maybe epic Swashbuckler (http://ddowiki.com/page/Epic_Swashbuckler_%28Tier_3%29) slotted for -15% ASF (thus negating it)? Are you just in it for the dmg reduction and not the AC? I also feel bad about not having THF (or TWF) feats on any melee-oriented char; though they do get tight on this build.

Tx Unbongwah.

Shield is for DR only. Ill probably be wearing dresses anyway!

Skyvault shield is the one for me.

Agreed re THW feats - though no point wasting good ale worrying bout it!

Good axes, more STR, buffs, songs, teamwork and flexibility should help minimise the "waste of party slot" that will occasionally come my way.

Tx again for the feedback.
