Howdy folks!

I've got my first toon Shroud-flagged, and I'm trying to decide what I want to make first. (THF Paladin); so I'm thinking of making a weapon first.

Now, I've been reading the forums, and I've seen these abbreviations, MinII, LitII ... and so on ... and I've been trying to design my weapon using this planner:

http://perfectweb.org/ddo/crafting/base_crafting.php

So, I'm curious as to what "MinII" and "LitII" translate to in long-hand. So I can make sure I'm doing this right.

Right now, the one I keep coming back to:
GS Item: +5 Green Steel Falchion
+6 Constitution -- Positive / Escalation / Material
Tier 2 Effect: Good Burst -- Positive / Dominion / Material
Tier 2 Bonus Effect -- Aspect of Positive Energy (either) ::: Raise Dead 1/day

Tier 3 effect: +4 AC insight bonus Positive/Opposition/Ethereal
Tier 3 second shard: Undecided
Tier 3 bonus effect: Aspect of Positive Energy II - Greater Disruption Weapon ::: On hit, 3-5% chance undead destroyed, will save DC unknown.

I don't know if this looks right. I don't know if this is right, or what I should be doing. Any help translating the GS weapon I'm expected to have into a simple rescipe so I can actually make it, would be great! :) thanks.

MinII is Mineral II, iirc.

Aspect of Mineral II and Aspect of Lightning II

MinII = Mineral 2 as in has twice the aspect of mineral feature. Used to bypass the damage reduction on most devils/demons and bosses in the endgame as the second aspect of mineral provides the metalline bonus.

LitII = Lightning 2 as in has twice the aspect of lightning feature. The second aspect of lightning provides the best addition to DPS in the form of a random added effect of ~600 lightning damage (triggers on about 2-3% of your hits).

The abbreviation stands for the aspect the item gets from the shards put on it.

MinII is Mineral II and LitII is Lightning II. They're both dual-shard tier 3 effects.

For Min2, the most common order is:
Tier 1 - Holy (Positive)
Tier 2 - Acid Burst (Earth)
Tier 3 - Acid Blast (Mineral II)

For Lit2, the most common order is:
Tier 1 - Holy (Positive)
Tier 2 - Shocking Burst (Air)
Tier 3 - Shocking Blast (Lightning II)

Dual shard items like MinIIs and LitIIs are expensive to make, but usually worth it. Most of the time a MinII is made as a raid boss beater (since the plan I gave above bypasses Damage Reduction for Demons and Devils) for Shroud, Tower of Despair, and so forth. LitII weapons, on the other hand, are made for "general" DPS. LitII won't bypass all Damage Reduction like a MinII can, but can do more damage when DR is not important.

Putting +6 con on your weapon is a bad idea. Very very bad. Weapons should do as much dmg as possible, and you should not loose something significant when you swap weapons. Put holy on your weapon at tier I.

Triple pos weapons are very good weapons in most places, and the best in game against undead. I am not sure it would be the first weapon I made though.

Thanks, guys! This is starting to make sense! o.o

My question with LitII is with mobs that are healed by electricity (admittedly, I don't know how many there are, and if they even exist); and that chance proc in hell just healed the baddie up.

I think I'm going to go with MinII as my first one, and see how that works ;-)

Flesh Golems are healed by Electricity. The solution is to not use your Lit IIs in Fleshmaker's Lab.
