it isn't very obvious that something was broken there, but upon closer inspection, it seems the "buy now" quest name blockers have been removed. is this intentional?

Noticed this with the new quest series... bug it!

Maybe they need a public test server instead of preview server :D

Who knows if it was intentional or not - but its going to annoy the **** out of the P2P crowd

...maybe its a ploy to increase store sales?
F2P'ers can't get into XYZ quest because they dont own it, but the tooltip might still come up advising to purchase this excellent quest from the store

I thought that was what we play on, public test servers. ;)

I noticed this as well and bug reported it. Came here to see if there were any posts about it (to make sure I wasn't the only one). The problem is a little worse than described above. If I check the "hide content I don't own" button I am still seeing LFMs for packs that I haven't bought. For me it seems to be limited to quests from the Sentinels Pack and the Inspired Quarter. To one of the commenters above, I think this will annoy more than just the F2P crowd. F2P players that do not know any better are going to start to click on LFMs for content that they do not own...

Edit: Whoops, it seems that this issue applies to all of the packs. There just weren't any other LFMs up when I was investigating before.

but, eh, aw... yeah.

Oh and its not just the newest pack, saw a LFM for Sentinels... which I don't have and it wasn't marked as purchasable or filtered by ownage.

I put in a bug report a couple months ago about this. It was happening for me only with the Devils of Shavrath pack. I did'nt own it at the time but it was not showing the "Buy now" option in the lfg when quests for it came up.

I have the exact same problem. When i check "hide content i dont own", it shows the LFMs for packs i dont own.

I was going to post about this subject before I saw this post.

A guildie and I were talking about this problem this morning, and it is a problem. If I want to buy a pack I'll do it through the DDO store. This is just confusing to me and everyone else. If I see something on the LFM panel that I'm unfamiliar with I now have to ask the questions "Do I have this quest for real? Did it come with another pack I bought? Is it something I got due to leveling up? Let me go check DDOWiki and hope the party isn't full by the time I get back."

On the other side if you are the one who put up an LFM you'll now have to field questions about whether it's a F2P quest, or worse, find out as you're all about to enter that two of your group don't have the pack.

This is a bad idea, developers!

I hope it's a bug because it's a pain. I wasted a groups time last night because it showed I was eligible for a quest and I thought it was just a quest I hadn't picked up yet - turns out it was from a pack I hadn't picked up yet. I'm a mid level nweb who hasn't run all the quest from level 12-15 yet, so I don't know the quest names by memory yet. Now I have to double check every quest to see if I own it or not. Like everyone else, clicking the 'hide content I don't own' doesn't work. Hoping its just a glitch with the new update - really not fair to the f2p or the p2p making it more confusing to find a group.

Another thread about it up already too: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=329310

The only good thing about this, is that Hiding in Plain Site finally shows up as available to everyone in the game, since it is in fact F2P. It'd be nice if the Devs would fix that once and for all, when they fix this "Buy Now" bug (not holding my breath though.)

It's extremely hard to tell what is available to play.

My kids/stepkids are premium (we buy the content as they level up or when it's on sale) and I have no way that I know of to see if they are able to run certain content short of them trying to get in to the quest.

Please fix the available content indicators!

hmm this explains why i was getting ppl who dont own the packs i have joning my groups then whinning at me for not saying it was P2P in my lfm.
No longer shall i get annoyed at them thinking them to be idiots who cant see the big "buy now" next to the lfm.

Oh I'll still get annoyed at them. It seems, on Khyber at least, the latest thing is to click every entry in the LFM list, get into one of them, and ask for a share because you didn't bother to read the LFM and find out what quest it was. Happened with a bunch of low level ones and even happened with a Shroud. :p

Not sure

I really hope this is going to be fixed soon (because it can't be intentional, can it ?). Now everytime you're setting up a group for a P2P quest you have people leaving the group just as you were about to start because they didnt realize it was P2P.

In the interim, if you put up LFM and not sure if a quest is ftp, I suggest checking ddowiki.com.

I thought I'd seen some of the necro I-IIIs without the "buy now" thing. I'm shamefully bad at remembering quests by name, but I wondered why I kept seeing tombs and crypts without the big arrow.
