hi, just re-installed windoze and got my sound card working. i was in a group last night and could hear one person's mic working (the leaders?), but no one else's.

is this the way it works?

also, his volume was fairly low. i have master volume at 1, sound effects, music, ui and dm narration at .5. voice and voice mic are at 1. all other boxes are unchecked except for enable voice chat.

mic test shows some green squares when i speak into the mic, but i need to be real close to it.

should i be able to talk to the group?

thanks

Anyone can talk with voice chat in a group, set a key for push to talk (F is default I believe) and start talking, about the voice issues, you can adjust the ammount of sound transmited when you talk and recieve, if the voices are still low it's either the Mic's problem or the person has the mic too far away

GameSpy handles the voice chat, and I think its pretty cr@ppy to be honest, but better than nothing.
I turn everything down and voice right up, then i crank my speakers up high and its acceptable.
I would hope that MS makes use of buying up Skype and puts it into games. Probably only WindowsLive games though :/
