I've got a fleshy Water Savant that has a little difficulty with self healing; plain heal scrolls just don't cut it in a lot of situations. I was thinking of putting together a 10/20/30 Healing Amp stick for him to make solo runs easier, and have a few questions relating to that:

1) Is this a bad idea/waste of ings for some reason that hasn't dawned on me?

2) I hit for 159 with a heal scroll, so I should hit myself for 301 with the stick and 10% ship buff running. Math right or wrong?

3) Does Quicken Spell prevent spell failure with scrolls like it does with spells?

4) How much does a finger necklace go for?

I think it's a good idea to craft one.

As for what it would hit you for, my calcs came up to 300 I think.

Quicken does nothing for scrolls.

make sure it's 1 handed. so you can benefit from the healing amp while healing yourself

Are you saying all heal amplifications multiply? That is, 10/20/30% amp is actually 1.1*1.2*1.3, as opposed to 1.6? And multiply by another 1.1 from ship buff, which does turn 159 into 300?

If you make the first tier some Negative effect (+6 str, maybe?), you can get 20%/30% heal amp *and* Concordant Opposition as your tier 3 effect. That'll stack with a Conc-Opp accessory, giving you more sp procs and more temp hp procs, for even greater survivability. It'll cost more larges, though.

Not all but the ones on the shroud weapons do. Fleshmaker effect works a bit differently, as do enhancements/feats.

Healing Amp is a finicky thing.

As I have found out, the Flesh-something-or-other necklace is a 1.1 healing amp thing. It isn't muliplicative, it's additive, so putting it at the beginning of your healing amp calculations makes a difference:

1+0.1*1.1*1.2*1.3 =/= 1*1.1*1.2*1.3+0.1 (where the red is the Flesh necklace; left to right calculations)

But if you made the stick, a one-handed item offhand with heal scrolls mainhand will boost the healing from them.

I just recently read this in the wiki:

Healing Amplification is reported to be buggy, and result in a Harm effect for all Cure/Heal effects, possibly killing the wearer.

Is this old info? or does this still happen?

I wear healing amp gear, including greensteel items and I have never seen a bug that actually decreased the amount of healing I recieved or turned it into damage instead. Sounds like its either an outdated entry, or just false. It is a wiki, after all - not everything is going to be 100% accurate just because someone put it there.

I can tell you right now that i have never seen that at any time I played DDO, not when healing or being healed

Google doesn't help when you don't know the exact phrasing of the words. Having not even bothered to provide a link, how can I be sure those were not a paraphrase?

For example: link (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=healing+amplification+is+bugged).
