I like the concept. I think your build is actually pretty good but personally I would hate to have the dragonmarks without the extend feat.

I've done it before, you always have enough for when it matters, and monks can't take extend ;(

Yeah, you are probably right. I just like funky builds so I would probably take a class split that allowed for extend. My halfling dragonmarked Big F'n Stick variant for example is 13 rogue/6 monk/1 wizard (for maximize). That split would work well for your concept as well.

Anyway, I like the build as is...you've got everything you need (although its kinda painful to take toughness so late on an elf) and it executes the concept well.

I have some funky builds myself, and am taking extend on the dragonmarked elf 8 fighter/6 monk/6 paladin, which is a lot of fun.

For this build, much of the goal was to maximize damage mitigation without giving up too much DPS; I think that incorp, displacement, AC, and DR will make up for quite a bit, ninja with some WIS means that the DPS is still there, and 14 CON helps with not getting toughness until 18.

Actually, I originally had toughness much earlier, but there was always something better to take first :)

Any advice on enhancements?

Looks a lot like my Shadow Ninja! (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=270677) I've also considered an elf version of Quad-H (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=260560), with Shadow marks and Extend instead of halfling DMs.

Seems every build any one posts requires an insane amount of money to be dumped into tomes.

Ninja and ToD will eat 20 AP by themselves. After that, I like turtle path, fire and earth stances, improved recovery, wis and dex to round off your scores as needed, fists of iron to fit into the earth chain for quick finishers, extra toughness when you get it, etc.

I like to start over on new servers, for the challenge, and so I set up a lot of builds to only require minimal investments in tomes and farmed gear.

I'm not sure if it's a joke, anymore, but I tell people that I am trying to get TR monks on every server. 3 down, working on 4... :)

This isn't one of those builds that suggest a pile of +2's at level 7. The amount of plat a +1 dex tome will take is easily achieveable by the level where it will actualy effect the feat choices in this build ( level 8 or so ). I would suggest looking in your collectables bag and checking auction house prices for the bits you've got in there already.

Definitely; this build doesn't need the +1 until you are ready to level to 9, for iTWF, and you can trade a couple of fragrant drowshoods or something for one.
