I will be TRing soon and I'm trying to find a nice build to try out but I'm having some trouble. Is there a thread, page or site that lists some current builds for various classes at all? I did find sigtrent's request a build page, and his explainations are pretty good but it's difficult for me to tell how well the build would actually be.
Specifically I'm considering Paladin, FVS or Bard atm. I'm looking for a nice build that will get me to 20 so I can TR again. If there isn't a site, could anyone suggest a commonly used build that isn't heavy on the equipment requirements. I'm just worried about getting to 20 by mostly soloing. I'll be dragging a cleric dumbbot, I mean hireling behind me.

Have you considered rolling a cleric, and dragging a barb bot with u, instead? Clericking is fun, and everyone should roll at least one cleric, just so they know what clericking is all about.
If so, i suggest 1ftr/19 cleric, or 2ftr/18cleric to solo easily. Dwarf for extra CON or WF, if you've played them before and liked it.

hmmm I hadn't considered that before no... not a bad idea for when I do build a cleric... that brings up a question though, how do hirelings deal with DR? or do they even bother? the question just kinda popped into my head when you suggested this method...

Any of those three classes should be able to solo without a hireling if you so choose (Hirelings are very cheap though, and I am willing to look past a lot of their flaws if it keeps me from buying tons of scrolls and wands). Have you looked at one of Sirgog's FvS builds, the classic rocker bard build or a 16/2f/2r split, or Junt's paladin thread? Evasion paladins are very, very survivable.
Out of the three, I feel paladin has the most useful passive past life, followed by favored soul.

Looking into your suggestion I found this FVS by Sirgog:

The Soul Survivor looks pretty good and interesting to play, but I get the feeling from the reading that it's pretty gear intensive... how would it stand up with a few key pieces and the rest randomly generated stuff?
Following your suggestion for a "Classic Rocker Bard" I found this:

Now this one looks interesting. I don't get the feeling it's very soloable from reading it a bit however, it points to a few other builds they have done. Between them I should find one that will fit the role.
Took a look for Junts' Paladin and found this:

A little disappointed there isn't a AP list, but he is right in saying it'll change over time and I SHOULD learn how to figure that out myself...
Thank you for your suggestions, it has helped me locate some good builds to consider. If there are other builds out there, I'm still thinking about which way to go :)
