View Full Version : Why are repeaters still in the game?

Just tested my midbie repeater-build, taking him out of mothballs for his traditional post-update run to see if some lingering issues had been resolved.

YAY! Banishing, etc procs now as it should! Much rejoicing!
Oh, but wait... the bug.
Yeah, that bug. It's still there.
Back into the mothballs goes the repeater-build.

Seriously Turbine, if you're not going to FIX this years-old bug, just remove the freaking repeaters from the game completely. Why keep up the facade of pretending to give a rats arse about fixing this bug. Just remove them completely. At least that would eliminate the issue.

Repeaters are a major feature of the mechanic PRC

also they are another hilarious noob trap like shields

seriously though even with the bug repeaters are fine until you get to epix

Slated for the next update actually. They will pop off all three shot per a click.

Shields are extremely powerful on casters, such as Cleric or Favored Soul.
Look up the Shield Mastery feat. =)

I agree. That is, until after 5 minutes of running around tearing enemies up, your attacks drop from "hit-hit-hit" to the likes of "___-___-hit", "___-hit-___" and "___-___-___", etc...

Then the awesome loses its purity.

Yeah, bad bug is bad. But apparently they're actually going to fix it soon. Too bad all the maths guys will have to recalculate the theoretical DPS of repeater builds now.

yes... install elevators or escalators... I would love to take the express elevator in Coal chamber... (really, you think the mobs climb that thing every day to get to work? Very inefficient, especially from a materials handling point of view )
