Have fun! Feel free to be creative in naming your crafted items for the cookbook, but please keep in mind that names which violate the forum guidelines will not be allowed.
Here's an example of a recipe to submit in this forum thread:
Recipe Name: Deathblock Robe of Invulnerability
Recipe Nickname: Death's Avoidance
Bound or Unbound: Bound
Arcane CR (this is the level you would recommend attempting the crafting at, in our case we are using the highest level shard of a particular school of crafting):15
Divine CR:71
Elemental CR:1
Item Ingredient List (this is the stuff you will need to make the item):
Robe
Deathblock Shard
Invulnerability Shard
Shard Ingredient List (this is the stuff you will need to make the shards, enhancement spirits, and other things):

192 Lesser Good Essences
3 Greater Body Essences
12 Lesser Body Essences
4 Khyber Dragonshard Fragments
25 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments
3 String of Prayer Beads
3 Amulet of the Lost Empire
Crafting Steps (Try to gear this advice to a new crafter):
1. Deconstruct a robe with a Dust of Disjunction to make it craftable in the Deconstruction Device.
2. Using the Shard Device for shards, combine Greater Good Essences, Lesser Good Essences, Siberys Dragonshard Fragments and Amulets of the Lost Empire to make the Deathblock Shard. Combine Greater Body Essences, Lesser Body Essences, Khyber Dragonshard Fragments, and Strings of Prayer Beads to make Invulnerability Shard.
3. Using the Item Creations Device, combine the Deathblock Shard with the Robe to make a Deathblock Robe. Next, combine the Invulnerability Shard with the Robe to make the Deathblock Robe of Invulnerability.
Special Notes:
Deathblock and Invulnerability will add +4 to the enchantment level of your robe.

I think a crafting cookbook is a good idea, but perhaps you should pare down the format. Having people put things like: I made blood rage of invulnerability for my low lvl barbarian, the ML was x is pretty helpful and takes little work. But with all the info you are asking for for each individual recipe, people won't fill out the cookbook, or read everything. All you need is one overall "how to craft" guide, and then ideas for what to craft.
Anyway, thats my 2cp.

Recipe Name: +4 Holy Silver Longsword of Lawful Outsider Bane
Recipe Nickname: Dol Dorn's Blade
Bound or Unbound: Bound
Arcane CR: 45
Divine CR: 41
Elemental CR: 0
Item Ingredient List:
Silver Longsword
+4 item (e.g. +4 Weapon)
3 shards of Potential (6 - 8)
Holy Shard
Lawful Outsider Bane Shard
Shard Ingredient List:
15 Greater Good Essences
80 Lesser Good Essences
10 Greater Chaos Essences
32 Lesser Chaos Essences
10 Greater Arcane Essence
80 Lesser Arcane Essence
175 Magical Essence (e.g. Lesser Fire Essence)
9 Khyber Dragonshard Fragments
32 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments
3 Glittering Dust (red collectible bag)
Crafting Steps:
1. Using the Deconstruction Device to deconstruct the following:
* Deconstruct a Silver Longsword with a Dust of Disjunction to make it craftable
* Deconstruct a +4 item with a Liquid Knife Potion to obtain a +4 Enhancement Spirit
2. Using the Shard Device for combining the ingredients to craft the following shards:
* Holy Shard (Divine lvl 37) : 15 Greater Good Essence, 80 Lesser Good Essence, 16 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments, 3 Glittering Dust
* Lawful Outsider Bane Shard (Divine lvl 41) : 10 Greater Chaos Essence, 32 Lesser Chaos Essence, 9 Khyber Dragonshard Fragments
* Shard of Potential +6 (Arcane lvl 30) : 25 Magical Essence (e.g. Lesser Fire Essence)
* Shard of Potential +7 (Arcane lvl 35) : 50 Magical Essence (e.g. Lesser Fire Essence)
* Shard of Potential +8 (Arcane lvl 40) : 100 Magical Essence (e.g. Lesser Fire Essence)
* +4 Enhancement Bonus Shard (Arcane lvl 45) : 10 Greater Arcane Essence, 80 Lesser Arcane Essence, 16 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments, +4 Enhancement Spirit
3. Using the Item Creations Device to combine:
* Shard of Potential +6 with Silver Longsword
* Shard of Potential +7 with Silver Longsword
* Shard of Potential +8 with Silver Longsword
* Holy Shard with Silver Longsword
* Lawful Outsider Bane Shard with Holy Silver Longsword
* +4 Enhancement Bonus Shard with Holy Silver Lawful Outsider Bane Longsword
Special Notes:
Actually every silver weapon could be used as a base material, but as Dol Dorn is one of the only Chaotic Good Deity in Eberron and his favored weapon is a Longsword, the recipe is based on this type.
For the Shard of Potential it is important to know that a base item always start with a max crafting level of +5, but the final item will have a level of +8. So the level of the item has to be increased prior via the shard of potential. Those Shards can be crafted in each school. As we however need the highest crafting level in Arcane it is a good idea to use this school even for crafting the shard of potential (e.g. for the leveling purpose). For the Magical Essence of the shard of potential could any essence be used, but we will use an essence of a school that we not need for this recipe to save our ingredients for the shards.
Type: Weapon
PS: Red mark an element from the collectible bag, and yellow/violet the Dragonshards. Further to distinguish the +4 spirit from the liquid knife potion and the enhancement shard the light blue color is used.

Do we currently have a base 'how to' for crafting? ie how to concentrate on one school or how to effectively level each school, etc?

Shards of Potential 6 - 7
Anarchic Shard
Aberration Bane Shard
Shard Ingredient List:
10 Greater Law Essences
32 Lesser Law Essences
3 Greater Chaos Essences
12 Lesser Chaos Essences

B) Aberration Bane Shard: combine (10) Greater Law Essences, (32) Lesser Law Essences, (9) Siberys Dragonshard Fragments and (1) Research Diary.
C) Anarchic Shard: combine (3) Greater Chaos Essences, (12) Lesser Chaos Essences, (4) Kyber Dragonshard Fragments and (2) Skull Fragments.

This weapon's primary use is chopping Yaulthoon and his Mind Flayer minions down to size. Byeshk bypasses Mind Flayer DR while the Anarchic and Aberration Bane aspects combine to output an additional 4-24 (4d6) damage. Plus Aberration Bane increases the enhancement bonus by +2. As an added bonus Taken and Beholders will feel the sting. Of course, you probably need two. Minimum Level: 13.

Say Cordovan is there a resource that would provide the minimum level on an item prior to crafting. Like say I wanted to craft a +3 anarchic greater lawful outsider bane greatsword. Is there a resources which would give us the information for the minimum level for the +3, anarchic, and greater lawful outsider bane components?

Can we add a line to place the ML (minimum level) on any items crafted so to help players know what they can craft for the lowbie toons.

Correct - there are no vampires in Delera's. I guess I just get confused with all the different undead and what DR which monster has. Post edited and thanks for pointing that out.

Cordovan, dont want to hijack the thread, but this relates specifically to crafting. Can we get a dev to do a drive-by and answer this please? Been watching the dev tracker and have not yet seen an answer to it in any thread:
http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p=3857565&postcount=26
To summarize, someone found a way to overwrite current shards on crafted items with new shards, by changing one of the interface options to remove the warning when attempting to do so. The existence of the option would seem to indicate it is intentional, but the error messages generated when the option is left to default seem to indicate we are NOT supposed to be able to overwrite. Could a dev please clarify whether we are supposed to be able to overwrite shards (like DT armor runes) or if it is a glitch? Thanks.

Recipe Name: Archon's Will
Recipe Nickname: N/A
Bound or Unbound: Bound
Arcane CR: 41
Divine CR: 32
Elemental CR: 0
Item Ingredient List: Any robe with a medium guild augment slot, and any bracers with a medium augment slot
Shard Ingredient List: Life shield Shard, +5 Resistance (Will) shard, Enchantment save +6 shard
Crafting Steps:
Obtain the items mentioned above.
'Key' the items for crafting.
Craft the fallowing in any order: Life shield shard, Resistance(Will) shard, Enchantment save +6 shard.
Imbue the life shield shard and the resistance(will) shard into the robe, and put the enchantment save +6 shard on the bracers.
(Optional) Add medium guild gems in your newly crafted items.
Special Notes: The minimum level needed to wear the full set is 11. I find it great to use on my barbarian, because it can provide a nice defense against those nasty spells in the enchantment school that require a will save! Any guild slot can substitute besides medium. While results may vary, I use the guild slots for a +15 HP bonus and a +3 intimidate bonus for 6 hours, which is great for a melee that intimidates. In addition, if one could put a guard, especially thorn guard, on the bracers, it would be pretty nice to wear.
Type: Set bonus that grants a +5 resistance bonus to will saves and a +6 enhancement bonus to enchantment spells when worn together, in addition to lifeshield.

Recipe Name: Improved Combustion II Ring of Lesser Fire Resistance
Recipe Nickname: Emberwraith
Bound or Unbound: Bound
Arcane CR:1
Divine CR:1
Elemental CR:14
Item Ingredient List:
Ring
Improved Combustion II Shard
Lesser Fire Resistance Shard
Shard Ingredient List:
3 Greater Fire Essences
16 Lesser Fire Essences
5 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments
Crafting Steps:
1. Deconstruct a ring with a Dust of Disjunction to make it craftable in the
Deconstruction Device.
2. Using the Bound Shard Device for shards, combine x3 Greater Fire Essences,
x12 Lesser Fire Essences, and x4 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments to make the
Improved Combustion II Shard. Using the Bound Shard Device for shards,
combine x4 Lesser Fire Essences and x1 Siberys Dragonshard Fragment to make
the Lesser Fire Resistance Shard.
3. Using the Item Creations Device, combine the Improved Combustion II Shard
with the Ring to make a Improved Combustion II Ring. Next, combine the Lesser
Fire Resistance Shard with the Ring to make the Improved Combustion II Ring
of Lesser Fire Resistance.
Special Notes: While comparatively weak compared to the great wonders of fire
magic, the Emberwraith is nevertheless an extremely useful tool for the
fledgling wizard or sorcerer. Fire magic is one of the most easily mastered
offensive magics, and Emberwraith both enhances the wearer's ability to strike
with flame and protects them from counterattack. More than one neophyte
pyromancer has returned from expeditions into Stormreach's Waterworks
thankful for Emberwraith's protection against both fire magic and the alchemical
fires often employed by kobolds.
(Emberwraith can be crafted in a more potent form if the crafter has access to
the Greater Combustion II shard at Elemental Crafting lvl 24.)
Improved Combustion II and Lesser Fire Resistance will add +2 to the
enchantment level of your ring.

Recipe Name: +4 Wounding Flametouched Iron Kukri of Bleeding
Recipe Nickname: Vivisection
Bound or Unbound: Bound
Minimum Level: 15
Arcane CR: 50 and 33
Divine CR: -
Elemental CR: -
Item Ingredient List: Keyed Flametouched Iron Kukri
Shard Ingredient List: Shard of Potential +6, +7, +8; +4 Enhancement Shard; Wounding Shard; Shard of Bleed
Flametouched Iron composition of the weapon makes it Good aligned, without having to worry about character alignment. Constant Con damage from Wounding, consistently reduces maximum target HP until Con is depleted, allowing for an easier kill, even against opponents that regenerate or heal themselves. From time to time, I also notice that if you hit something with Con damage quickly and often enough, there is a chance of stunning the target as well. Bleeding continuously does 1-8 untyped damage, providing additional dps on just about anything that can bleed. I loaded a pair of these weapons onto my Rogue-Ranger for twf, and am quite pleased with its performance as a grinder, and anti-rares/lesser boss weapon set. Adding a Shard of Potential +9, can kick it up to a +5 weapon, if you have the crafting levels for it.
Bigger things with DR that require metalline, I'm working on another config, but I still need the metalline recipe to go live.

Special Notes: Dolarrah's Revenge is dedicated to all the clerics out there that feel like they can't attack a raid boss. "Get out there and kick some butt". This weapon has a minimum Level of 19. The weapon can be made at lower levels by substituting the “+4 Enhancement Spirit” with an Enhancement Spirit of lesser potency. It should be noted that once you place an enhancement spirit on the item, you will NOT be able to upgrade to a higher enhancement spirit as there is an issue with upgrading from a lower level enhancement bonus to a higher one.

this is the level you would recommend attempting the crafting at, in our case we are using the highest level shard of a particular school of crafting
You should replace this with "minimum level", i.e. "shard level - 10". Then it's up to the player if he wants to attempt at 50% or wait a few more levels to avoid losing ingredients.
Recipe Name: Blindness Ward Goggles of Battle Skill
Recipe Nickname: Strategist's Goggles
Bound or Unbound: Bound
Arcane CR: 40
Divine CR: 25
Elemental CR: 1
Item Ingredient List (this is the stuff you will need to make the item):
Goggles
Blindness Ward Shard
Shard of Battle Skill
Shard Ingredient List:
6 Greater Good Essences
32 Lesser Good Essences
6 Greater Mind Essences
32 Lesser Mind Essences
18 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments
1 Small Wooden Idol
Crafting Steps:
1. Deconstruct a pair of Goggles with a Dust of Disjunction to make it craftable in the Deconstruction Device.
2. Using the Shard Device for shards, combine Greater Good Essences, Lesser Good Essences, 9 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments and Small Wooden Idol to make the Blindness Ward Shard (Blindness Immunity in the crafting interface). Combine Greater Mind Essences, Lesser Mind Essences, 9 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments to make Shard of Battle Skill (Attack +2 in crafting interface).
3. Using the Item Creations Device, combine the Blindness Ward Shard with the Goggles to make a Blindness Ward Goggles. Next, combine the Shard of Battle Skill with the Goggles to make the Blindness Ward Goggles of Battle Skill.
Special Notes: Battle Skill shard gives you attack bonus, this recipe gives +2 to attack. There's also a lower level +1 attack recipe for those with lower crafting levels. Currently the recipe produces ML 9 Goggles. If you are lower level you could only make Goggles of Battle Skill which are currently ML 5 and then upgrade them when you hit lvl 9.

how about something that tells us what the effects do? What does lifeshield do? What does battle skill do? A newbie won't know this stuff. Having these in the recipe would make them a lot more appealing.

Good point!
You can definitely include a little explanation of why the item is cool to use in the "notes" section. Sometimes the nickname gives a hint of what it's good for, but it's never a bad idea to explain why someone would wanna make the item and how it's going to help them.

I will edit the +2 attack to the notes section as well. It's a bit too well hidden in the crafting description.

I mentioned this in another thread but ...
Should the recipe book be a part of the larger crafting guide. It seems like it would be more beneficial to have one definitive source than two.

Can we add a line to place the ML (minimum level) on any items crafted so to help players know what they can craft for the lowbie toons.
I agree. It's extremely important to know when to craft these items.

We did add it to the "resources" links in the main guide, but we can always add a line earlier in the guide to help them find it. For the moment we wanted to wait until we had populated it with some more recipes before focusing fire there :)

This was me trying to be cute with the name. Shield+Heal=Sheald. I thought it was funny, but maybe it's more funny-like-a-sad-clown rather than funny-like-a-roller-skating-chipmunk.

I just started crafting but have made several itmes. The one piece that is missing is not knowing which shards will be Prefix vs. Sufix. I have built shards to put on one item and can't because they are both prefix's. Would be nice when you are about to craft the shard.

If you hover your pointer over the shard icon in the Shard Creation Device, you can tell whether the shard is a prefix or suffix. If it states X Shard, it's a prefix; if it's Shard of X, it's a suffix.

If you look at the Item Creation Device and look for the kind of shard you want to use, hover your pointer over the sword icon and the popup tooltip will state where you can place the shard.

Or more user-friendly would be to add filter boxes we can check on/off to display prefix/suffix/enhancement/item types. There are ALOT of recipes in the box, and mousing over every single one of them (assuming the tooltip doesnt bug out and close itself as happens often) takes a LONG time. Not to mention it has a habit of popping up over something else and being hard to read sometimes (like all tooltips) until you move your UI elements around.
Show me ONLY prefixes (ignoring ehancement bonuses and suffixes) that can be applied to armor (ignoring all other gear slots). Click. Thanks MUCH easier to sort through this list....now add my mats and it ONLY shows me prefixes that can be added to armor, using THESE mats to craft with. TADA.
And yes I realize this requires more dev time to tweak it up right, but thats the point of the beta, right? to determine what needs to be adjusted. The barter box crafting is a great tool, but this is an improvement that would make it SO much better.

True. REALLY inconvenient to have to hop between 2 stations to figure out though when it should be in the shard creation description itself. Going to the Item Creation device is even more annoying than flipping to a web browser to look it up. :)

Recipe Name: +1 Efficient Empower Healing I Heavy Mithral Shield of Healing Lore
Recipe Nickname: Mirra's Prayer
Bound or Unbound: Bound
Arcane CR: 30
Divine CR: 25
Elemental CR: 0
Item Ingredient List:
Heavy Mithral Shield
+1 item (e.g. +1 Armor)
Healing Lore Shard
Efficient Metamagic - Empower Healing I Shard
Shard Ingredient List:
6 Greater Good Essences
32 Lesser Good Essences
4 Greater Arcane Essence
16 Lesser Arcane Essence
14 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments
Crafting Steps:
1. Using the Deconstruction Device to deconstruct the following:
* Deconstruct a Heavy Mithral Shield with a Dust of Disjunction to make it craftable
* Deconstruct a +1 item with a Liquid Knife Potion to obtain a +1 Enhancement Spirit
2. Using the Shard Device for combining the ingredients to craft the following shards:
* Healing Lore Shard (Divine lvl 30) : 6 Greater Good Essence, 32 Lesser Good Essence, 9 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments
* +1 Enhancement Bonus Shard (Arcane lvl 10) : 1 Greater Arcane Essence, 4 Lesser Arcane Essence, 1 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments, +1 Enhancement Spirit
* Efficient Metamagic - Empower Healing I Shard (Arcane lvl 25) : 3 Greater Arcane Essence, 12 Lesser Arcane Essence, 4 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments
3. Using the Item Creations Device to combine:
* Healing Lore Shard with Heavy Mithral Shield
* Efficient Metamagic - Empower Healing I Shard with Heavy Mithral Shield of Healing Lore
* +1 Enhancement Bonus Shard with Efficient Empower Healing I Heavy Mithral Shield of Healing Lore
Special Notes:
Actually every shield or weapon could be used as a base material, but as we only can rise the enhancement bonus to +1 without a shard of potential we want to get the best possible basis as a compensation. I have chosen the metamagic shard over a clicky, as we get those clickies quite often at different items. Further it is not necessary to keep such a clicky item in the hand after using it, while this shield makes sense to keep it equipped.
Unfortunately the only sad thing on this shield is its little high ML of 9, but usually till that level most Clerics have Empower Healing and keep it running all the time. Without the +1 enhancement bonus it would be a level 7 item.
The name itself is given in regards to Mirra's quest in the Parthilcar Tower Crypt.
Type: Shield
PS: Yellow indicate the use of Dragonshards. Further to distinguish the +4 spirit from the liquid knife potion and the enhancement shard the light blue color is used.

This part should really be changed. Would it be that difficult to add "(Prefix Effect)" or "(Postfix Effect)" to the shard names?

Sharing recipes is a really neat idea.
What is an even better idea is a crafting planner tool to resolve and manage all the prefix, suffix, item type, school crafting level, and ML factors for you.
Right now devising recipes is a painstaking process of
Develop a concept of synergistic enchantments
Verify no prefix-prefix, suffix-suffix conflicts (lookup in wiki or crafting UI)
Determine list of valid item types that can host the combination (consult crafting UI)
Determine the ML (do some math in accordance to Enchantment Level : ML rules)
Determine if any of those item types make sense for the equipment slot. (like if the only possible item is a Trinket but most builds would require something else in Trinket slot at this ML)
I applaud those of you who are documenting your recipes so thoroughly by hand for everyone to enjoy.

What I think would be very useful in helping to craft an item is having an idea of just what the level restriction is going to be on the end product. For example, my main toon is level 14, I began crafting a weapon; as I had no plant bane weapon and am running red fens often right now, I thought that would be a good way to go. I added Acid Burst, then I added a +5, followed by adding greater plant bane. This gave me a very powerful weapon and precisely what I wanted, a +5 Acid Burst Longsword of Greater Plant Bane. That's a great weapon for my toon, unfortunately it also carried with it a min LvL restriction of Level 20, so all that work and I can't use it until I'm at level 20.
I'm now planning to make a longsword for fighting undead. I initially wanted to put in Holy Burst and Undead Bane and hopefully a decent numeric enhancement, but I'm fairly sure that will have the same result and it will exceed my level.
I would for someone to put together a cookbook that would kick back the level restriction that would be applied so that we can plan to make a weapon that won't be restricted by level. I'd love to see someon come up with this.

You got your crafting to the levels needed to craft +5 shards, Acid Burst shards, and Greater Bane shards, and you still don't understand how ML works with respect to crafting?
EDIT: Short version; ML of crafted item = ( sum of +s of shards * 2 ) - 1
So if you have a +3 shard, a +2 shard, and a +4 shard on a weapon, that's a total of +9, double that to 18, minus one, ML 17. If you want to make an undead killing weapon, you can work backwards from the pluses of the shards you want to include.

A better recipe would be to replace Holy Burst with Holy then raise the +4 to +5.
The Crit Profile for the Mace (20; x2) makes the +1 actually better.
Burst effect = 3d6 on a 20 = Avg 10.5 burst damage over 20 rolls is 0.55 damage per swing.
Contrast that with a simple +1 for 19 damage over 20 rolls for 0.95 damage per swing.
Additionally you gain another +1 to hit which I imagine is beneficial to most Mace-wielders.

I just crafted a longbow for my Arcane Archer with Lesser Vampirism, but upon testing, the Lesser Vampirism wasn't functioning. I dearly hope that lesser vamp is not only supposed to function with melee weapons. But if the shard is supposed to work on whatever you fix it to, could someone have a look at the problem please? Thanks.

I made a few weapons so far....When I get around to it I might look up and note down the costs. :)
- Ghost Touch +2 Greatsword of Undead Bane to help me through those Crypt series with the massive amounts of ghosts/wraiths/specters/shadows.
- Advanced Spiderspikes: A fire and an acid +2 Rapier of Vermin Bane.
- Ooze Mixers: Two +2 Light maces of Ooze Bane. Because I can use Weapon Finesse on these maces. Not that you ever miss on an ooze...but still!
And some stuff most of you probably know...
- Buy your Flametouched (good aligned) weapons in Chronoscope Raid.
- Somehow the base value of the item doesn't change. So you repair real cheap. That is why I dare use my two light maces of ooze Bane till they nearly break. Repair cost was less than a gp each...
I love the healer's shield that was put up btw!

That's all well and good, but why so roundabout? Why not just tell us up front on the shard itself whether it's a prefix or suffix and what it can be applied to?
My guess is that the devs had no idea how inconvenient the current method would be. Hopefully they've noticed how much it's been mentioned on these forums.
Meanwhile, I've seen at least half a dozen player-written guides -- including the consistenly excellent DDOWiki -- but I'm really looking for a Crafter or Planner type website or application. Does anyone know of one?

Recipe Name: Silver Flame Trinket of Healing Lore (Minimum Level 11 item)
Recipe Nickname: Blessing's Disciple
Bound or Unbound: Bound
Divine CR: 33
Elemental CR: N/A
Arcane CR: N/A
Item Ingredient List:
Trinket (random or from the DDO store)
Silver Flame Shard (ML 5) - Increases the total hit dice of turns by +6
Shard of Healing Lore (ML 5) - Increases your spell chance for a critical hit by 6% and the critical multiplier by 0.25
Shard of Potential +6
Shard Ingredient List:
6 Greater Law Essences
32 Lesser Law Essences
18 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments
6 Greater Good Essences
32 Lesser Good Essences
and 25 of any shard.
Crafting Steps:
1. Using the Item Deconstruction Device: place the trinket in the device with Dust of Disjunction to make it craftable (the DDO Store trinket will already be keyed and you can skip this step).
2. Use the Bound Shard Device to:
Create a Silver Flame Shard - 6 Greater Law Essences, 32 Lesser Law Essences, and 9 Siberys Dragonshard fragments.
Create a Shard of Healing Lore - 6 Greater Good Essences, 32 Lesser Good Essences, and 9 Siberys Dragonshard fragments.
Create a Shard of Potential +6 - 25 of your least needed essence.
3. In the Bound Items crafting device:
Place the Shard of Potential +6 with the trinket in the device and click "craft". This must be done first!
Place the Silver Flame Shard with the trinket in the device and click "craft".
Place the Shard of Healing Lore with the trinket in the device and click "craft".
Special Notes:
If you like hitting undead hard with all your cleric goodness, this item is for you. Its meant to enhance the Divine Blessing item set found in the Red Fens and it will also help you capitalize on the Radiant Servant prestige enhancement line.
Even though each affix is Minimum Level 5, the combination is a Minimum Level 11 item. If you only want to craft one portion of it and leave the second for later, be sure to use the Shard of Potential. Failure to do so will mean that you have to key it again and start over.
Type: Trinket only. This is the only item slot these affixes have in common.

Recipe Name: +4 Screaming Flametouched Iron Rapier of Destruction
Recipe Nickname: Piercing Trill
Bound or Unbound: Bound
Divine: -
Elemental: 35
Arcane: 43
Item Ingredient List:
(1) Screaming Shard : 6 Greater Air Essences, 12 Lesser Air Essences, 4 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments, 3 Funerary Tokens
(1) Destruction Shard : 15 Greater Body Essences, 80 Lesser Body Essences, 16 Khyber Dragonshard Fragments, 2 Signets of The Devourer
(1) Keyed Flametouched Iron Rapier
<Optional>
(1) +4 Enhancement Bonus Shard: 10 Greater Arcane Essences, 80 Lesser Arcane Essences, 16 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments, 1 +4 Enhancement Spirit
(1 each) +6, +7, +8, +9 Shards of Potential: 350 Magical Essences of any kind
Minimum Level: 17 at these specs
Given how many evil-aligned creatures you'll meet in-game, I favor Flametouched Iron as a base to automatically make a weapon good-aligned to deal with them. The Rapier isn't one weapon I typically favor, but its reach can make it more effective than a short sword, especially for two-weapon fighters...(and tbh, it just suited the name I had in mind. ;D). This weapon offers both the steady, consistent, sonic damage of the screaming effect which virtually nothing in the game can resist, and the AC reduction ability of Destruction to inflict rapid, maximum possible dps, while reducing enemy AC...a feature that becomes useful to both the wielder, and melee partymates.

Recipe Name: Efficient Empower Healing staff of Healing Lore
Recipe Nickname: The Staff of Healing
Bound or Unbound: Unbound
Arcane CR: 50
Divine CR: 59
Item Ingredient List (this is the stuff you will need to make the item):
Staff/Scepter/Mace/Club etc etc
Efficient Empower Healing I Shard
Healing Lore Shard
Shard Ingredient List (this is the stuff you will need to make the shards, enhancement spirits, and other things):
Efficient Empower Healing I Shard:
16 Lesser Arcane Essences
12 Greater Arcane Essences
4 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments
Healing Lore Shard:
32 Lesser Good Essences
18 Greater Good Essences
9 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments
Crafting Steps (Try to gear this advice to a new crafter):
1. Deconstruct the weapon with a Dust of Disjunction to make it craftable in the Deconstruction Device.
2. Using the Unbound Shard Device for shards, combine Greater Good Essences, Lesser Good Essences and the Siberys Dragonshard Fragments to make the Healing Lore Shard. Combine Greater Arcane Essences, Lesser Arcane Essences and Siberys Dragonshard Fragments to make Efficient Empower Healing I Shard.
3. Using the Item Creations Device, combine the Efficient Empower healing I Shard with the weapon to make a Efficient Empower Healing weapon. Next, combine the Healing Lore Shard with the weapon to make the Efficient Empower Healing weapon of Healing Lore.
Special Notes:
Efficient Empower Healing will add +1 to the enchantment level of your weapon.
Healing Lore will add +3 to the enchantment level of your weapon.
Type (Armor, Weapon, Jewelry, Clothing, etc - just like you would see it in the Auction House!): Weapon
I chose staff for the name (mostly borrowing the name from one of the most sought after staffs in PnP), but obviously it is better to use a simple one handed weapon.
**Of Note, You can get better Healing Lore and better Efficient Empower Healing from Bound shard crafting, and I am surprised more people have not noticed it yet, as neither effect can be found on random loot.
**Edit - Bah, figures after I go through and put this up, I read the rest of the article and see someone had a shield up instead, lol, oh well, at least this one isn't bound! *grumbles*

I have a trinket that I picked up from a chest, craftable +5 bound item. I cannot add a minor spell penetration 1 shard, bound or unbound to this item. Is there a reason or are things just not 100% functioning yet?

Thanks for the recipe! Thought I'd give this thread a little bump as well with a question...Tolero and I were chatting a bit today about cool docents that could be crafted. Does anyone have some good ideas? Maybe something for lower level, one for mid level, one for high level?
I've also added The Staff of Healing and Glow and Dimness to the Cookbook, keep up the great work everyone!

ML 2 Docent of Invulnerability - just Invulnerability with no "plus"
ML 7 Lifeshield + Invulnerability - again, no "plus" to push up the ML on the docent.
The second is almost as good as a Blademark's Docent. Since I have a Bladesmark's Docent (ML 5 and BtA), I would not consider making the ML 7 version for a Docent. I have made a Lifeshield + Invulerability Robes, though - very nice to wear on just about any character at that level.

I second the Invulnerability, then Lifeshield of Invulnerability. For builds that never expect to sustain a workable AC, that's enough damage mitigation to basically mimic permanent Displacement, until about level 12 when mobs start hitting harder.
Even then, it's still good, and probably better than anything you'll get until Dragontouched.
For builds that care about AC - nothing matches the highest enhancement you can make paired with the highest tier of Reinforced Plating you can make.

Docent (http://ddowiki.com/page/Blademark%27s_Docent) - item form pack ml 5 with +3 and BtA , i have crafted robe BtA ml 7 with life shield and Invulnerability. So if you don't have access to sentinels that docent would be nice too.
Also i crafted:
ml7 blood docent of medium fortification
ml7 blood docent of wizardry V - to replace mine ml 1 from necro 3 scarab

Blood docent of invulnerability is my pet favorite (and soon to be my Pet's favorite too!) . I've put the recipe for this in the cook book already (under Docent of Survival). It was written when you could overwrite effects (a really good feature that should never have been switched off IMHO), so it may be a little out of date.

What's the ML on that? My S&B may want to make something similar though lower level to keep him going past L10...

What's the ML on that? My S&B may want to make something similar though lower level to keep him going past L10...
The version that I've apsted is ML19, since my intention is to use this for some of the end game tanking.
You can, of course, lower that by going enhancement +4, seker +6 and possibly discard incite. That would bring the total down to ML13. This would also considerably lower the crafting levels required (arcane 45, divine 47).
You could also go enhancement +3 and keep incite, since incite only adds +1 to the enhancement level.

Recipe Name: Disease Immunity Necklace of Poison Save +5
Recipe Nickname: Pouch of Leeches

Arcane CR: 42
Divine CR: 16
Elemental CR: 0
Item Ingredient List:
Necklace
Shard of Disease Immunity
Shard of Resistance (Poison) [+5]
Shard Ingredient List:
3 Greater Good Essences
12 Lesser Good Essences
4 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments
1 Deadly Feverbranch
3 Greater Body Essences
12 Lesser Body Essences
4 Khyber Dragonshard Fragments
Crafting Steps:
1. Deconstruct the necklace with a Dust of Disjunction to make it craftable in the Deconstruction Device.
2. Using the Shard Device for bound shards, combine 3 Greater Good Essences, 12 Lesser Good Essences, 4 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments and a Deadly Feverblanch to make a Shard of Disease Immunity.
3. Using the Shard Device for bound shards, combine 3 Greater Body Essences, 12 Lesser Body Essences and 4 Khyber Dragonshard Fragments to make a Shard of Resistance (Poison) [+5].
4. Transfer the necklace and the shards to the character that will be using the necklace.
6. Using the Item Creations Device, combine the Shard of Disease Immunity with the necklace to make a Disease Immunity Necklace.
7. Finally, combine the Shard of Resistance (Poison) [+5] with the necklace to make a Disease Immunity Necklace of Poison Save +5.
Special Notes:
This necklace is actually a small black silk pouch on a fine silver chain. The moist black pouch is constantly wriggling, because it contains a clew of medicinal leeches. As one holds the necklace, one can feel the leeches grasping for purchase through the soft thin fabric.
The necklace helps the wearer overcome poisonings and cures all diseases, even hypochondria.
Elders say, that for the necklace to have an effect, the pouch should always have direct skin contact, or better yet, be placed in the mouth.

If you had an alternative way to view these recipes by the enhancement name, this would be such an excellent resource.
As is, the listing by "Barney beater of bash bash" tells me nothing about what the recipe is and clicking random links hoping to find something useful isn't a good use of my time. When I look in a regular cookbook, I recognize what most of the recipes are. When I look in this cookbook... not so.
Having a name for flavor is a nice touch. Using a flavor name as the only way to sift through recipes is a hindrance to using this valuable resource.

It helps for searching a recipe, in case one already has something in mind. Other option would be to have some kind of category linked to each item. Anyway, is it possible to have the enhancement descriptions in a darker yellow or at least put the name in bold to make it for the eyes more easy to distinguish between name and enhancement?

I have been tremendously frustrated with the Cannith Crafting. I believe there are way too many restrictions.
First of all minimum level requirements are way too high for the bound item crafting. Minimum lvl for bound items should be half what they are for unbound.
Second the restriction on what can be combined with what on what kind of item is rediculous! This is supposed to be custom crafting. If you can only make things that are the same as stock items you can pick up in a quest, then what is so special about crafting? If I want to make, for example, a Sacred Necklace of Wizardry III why should I not be able to craft that item.
Third, with the amount of time and materials that must be invested to lvl up in crafting, the whole prefix/suffix restriction needs to be done away with, Custom crafting should allow a person to make a Superior Radiance III longsword of Greater Devotion IV if the player wants. The whole idea of custom crafting is to be able to get creative with your items and so far I have not noticed any benefit to crafting at all
Finally, there should be a way, perhaps with all those End Reward items to be able to make named items. Items that would have more than one prefix and suffix for instance. Named items often have multiple benefits to them that are not necessarily in accordance with standard item benefits and extending that thought why not have the ability to make item sets. This process should be much more difficult then normal crafting, but would be cool. I have noticed that it seems easier to craft a Greensteel Item than to make some basic Cannith Crafting Items in terms of time invested to make them. Granted once you achieve that high crafting lvl you can make item after item, but again with all the restrictions and rediculously high minimum lvl requirements what good is it?
I would love to see a response to this that would explain the reasons for all the restrictions and cost vs benefit

Special Notes: Gwyar's Paint Brush is designed with "Painting" the orthons in VoD in mind. It does not do much damage, but every mob looks so pretty in as a member of the red m&m fan club dressed in blue.

Actually, if you are interested in a Orthon beater, choosing Flametouched Iron over Adamantine will break their DR. However, choosing Adamantine is still a decent choice, if the weapon's main intention is to serve as a Construct debuffer in LoB.
Weapons of Good is still required to bypass the LoB's DR.

I went with adamantine for the metal strength. It is a painter no a damage dealer, so I was not worried about bypassing damage reduction
