Hello! I was getting read to make my Lightning I after 5 shroud runs at 7 in the morning and I've messed up and made (and applied) a 10% healing amp instead of Holy to a Greensteel blank Khopesh... I know I can't remove it but was really wondering how badly I've screwed this up, from what I can see now, it would only be 2d6 per attack lost, but the weapon would also not be good aligned (At least I don't think it would).
Would it be a total loss to bother upgrading this further? I was considering maybe making it (in the long run) into a Positive II as my undead beater. Or could anyone maybe recommend what it's worth turning into?

I wouldn't make it a litII anymore, the good dr bypass is valuable, and you're losing about 7 damage per attack. To put that into perspective. A number of people spend countless hours grinding out equipment to gain just another +1 or +2 damage per hit over what they had.

You mess up, accept it and start over.
Here'S an idea, look at tier 2 possibilities to make a cheap clickie, like raise dead or something else... Let me check, I'll edit this post in a few minutes

the loss of holy is big, I would not continue with making a lit2.
you could make it into a double positive for a res clickie, so it isn't a total waste.

according to this
http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~delallea/ddo/shroud/cgi-bin/shroud.cgi?item=item&weapon=khopesh&effects=healing_amp_10&altar=2
you dont have many choice, raise dead or stone skin. The other clickies are useless from a greensteel.

Alright thanks, guess I#ll make it a true res clickie and then maybe make it a greater disruptor when I have the spare mats.

I wouldn't even spend a single Supreme shard on it.
Holy is great against the enemies you want the disruptor for, and 10% healing amp isn't exactly hard to get.
Also, FYI, it's a Raise Dead clicky. Still useful, but just so you're not disappointed.

Do so eventually. Also be happy that you messed it up on the first tier. I know it is annoying anyways and you "wasted" a blank khopesh doing so.
But the 2d6 from the holy part contribute a lot to your damage especially as a TWF, where base damage is lower than THF, so your additional weapon damage effects play a bigger role.
EDIT: Going greater disruption will not pay out for the large ingredients you spend. True Resurrection might be worth it situational though.

NOTE: While it may say True Res. As I recall, they changed it to plain old Res. as a clicky sometime back.
Still worth the mediums, but make sure you do not need the stone skin clicky more.
Regs,

Just wanted to add.
Don't worry about losing the first tier material loss. By the time you finish your first Tier 3, you will have so many small ingredients you'll be giving them away.
The cost of blanks is actually more substantial, but also not a big loss. Take it as a learning experience. You'll be glad you have a raise dead clickie anyway, most people make it at one point or another.
my husband messed up tier 2 in the process of making a minII dwarf axe. somehow ended up with acid absorption on it. he said "well ****" and started making a new one. i told him it would be useful on the black dragon in tor :D
