I hate having this as my first post ever on these forums, but there seem to be alot of people with ummm *issues* floating around here. Is there any way to add a poster to an "ignore" list here, so their posts don't even show up? Some forums have it, some don't. I haven't been able to find it, so I am hoping it is just because I don't know my way around. Yes, I know I can report the post and it may or may not get removed. I want to just file 13 the poster(s) completely. Any help out there? Thanks!

WHAT?!?!?!?!
You actually want to miss all the drama/chaos/mayhem? :)
Good question though. I have no answer.

Yep! You can and should Ignore people on the forums you find irksome - save a lot of time and trouble, I've found.
In your User CP tab, at the top of the screen, you will see an option to Edit Ignore List. Click that, add the name, confirm - and presto! The only issue is that you will still see their posts if somebody quotes them... but it's better then nothing. :)

ignore this post, had bad info. Read /\/\THIS POST/\/\ and \/\/THAT POST\/\/ instead!

Yes, you can place other forum members onto your Ignore List. To do this, click on the user's name and click View Public Profile. From there, look for the User Lists drop-down tab below their name, and click "Add to Ignore List."
Edit: Memnir's method two posts above mine works as well.

I dont THINK there is. I have looked for one in the past as well (and more recently). I think if it WERE available, we would see alot more posts that mention adding others to their blacklist. And we would see more posts where someone is apparently responding to no-one (the person you have on your list).
If there *IS* such a feature on our forums and I have somehow missed it, I would also appreciate enlightenment. If not, this might be a good thread for the suggestions forum...
There is. Got it going right now on someone notorious from my server.
Memnir up there explains how you do it. ;)

Thanks Memnir. Apparently you were posting at the same time as I was, with better info :/
+1 to you for helping me to lower my blood pressure :D
Anyone know a way to add someone to the ignore list from THEIR profile? IE: click their name, and have the option to add the user to your ignore list? Something that would be very convenient in some inflammatory threads....

Happy to help. :)
I didn't know about the method Mr. Cordovan mentioned - and I think I'll use that from now on. Seems a bit easier. But, at least there are a few ways to go about it - options are always a good thing. :D

Well that answers my question. I looked right over that drop down list each time I seached for the feature --until you pointed right at it heh.
BTW, You folks need to stop answering posts while i am typing :D

Never found much use for ignore, or report either ingame or on forums. Maybe I'm just having fun with the drama when I lurk the forum and don't want to miss out :p though I guess it's a good option if you tend to get caught up in the drama or let it ruin your day...

I absolutely hate the implementation of the ignore feature. someone who is ignored posts, you see the message "This message is hidden because you have 'xxx' ignored. but click here to read it anyways!"
guess im not very good at restraining myself :p

I think thats more a 'just in case' feature. You know, just in case they decided to pull their head out and start being civil. Just in case they decided to actually contribute something useful to the thread. Just in case you are bored and want some drama, and TNT is off-air for the night :D
