Any one able to conjure up or know of a build that can help a newbie go through well enough to raise favor to unlocking rewards such as Drow or if possible even Veteran status?

its very possible, even easy, to get 1750 favor on a first run 28pt build.

I got 1750 at lv 19(ish) and immediately rolled up another toon with the same build, just better stats(Before any resurrection was possible)

Just play what u like, get to 1750 favor, see what u can work on, etc, and redo it(And you gained a nice mule)

Have you purchased other packs yet? I'm not sure if you can get 1750 favor off just F2P content. Even if you could it would mean pretty much doing everything on elite.

If you don't plan on soloing elite quests and would rather group, I would recommend you either play a caster or a healer. Both these classes are in high demand in PuG groups and should allow you to easily join parties. Melee classes that are survivable also work well (pure monk, monk splash melees, etc.)

yes he is right and i forgot to consider that. I got that favor from i believe delera's, vale, and gh+demonsands.(I think)

the favor i gained doing those basically bought me all the other packs.(3 toons across all 3 packs was more than enough TP earned)

F2P has a total of 1052 favor.

Without intentionally avoiding it and having access to every pack, I capped my first-life cleric with around 900 favor. Like anything else, if you look at all the content in the game some is just objectively better than the rest, and unless you go out of your way it's only natural you'd gravitate towards it.

Any character you play a lot can accrue total favor. You might be better served by TP grinding, wherein you take a character to a certain low favor amount (100, for instance), delete it, and start over. The builds best suited to this are front-loaded - strong early, because early is all you get. Then again, you might be even better served by not worrying about the stuff you can unlock.

You might want to check out this F2P guide (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=198865) as well.
