Greetings...

The aim of "Rise of Chaos" is to provide a High Fantasy dark themed guild for any and all who would like to be a part of it, provided they are interested in taking the following approach to the game:

1) First and foremost, experience, reputation and skill are not important... what is important is adherance to atmosphere and an intelligent approach to the game. Typing is mandatory... voice is not tolerated. Out of game humor is encouraged in text while we play but character names and appearences must be richly authentic, preferably dark themed characters who will contribute to the depth of our experience.

There are no expectations from you whatsoever aside from your sincere desire to play what you consider to be an authentic character and your sincere effort in the game.

At its root, Rise of Chaos is nothing more than an attempt to weed out grindy annoying people and find likeminded people who enjoy playing a richly authentic character with others who won't be found to be insulting, irritating, or annoying.

A little about me... I have been playing since launch and am happy to help with whatever might be needed. I am known to assist with anything that I consider to be unnecessary and/or grindy. For example I might furnish you with healing supplies so that your game time won't be wasted waiting on a 'healer' or other players etc.

As a former GM/DM I have always enjoyed taking new players on new adventures and allowing them to lead the way and/or figure it out. I have also rewarded players who amused me with their in-game performance with very nice items. Keep in mind this is not role playing per se but simply adhering to the integrity of the game, not spoiling and/or coming up with clever solutions or figuring things out. First and foremost the pace of the game should be fast and challenging. A little humor here and there adds nicely to the experience. Major/puzzles and mysteries will not be spoiled for those who have yet to experience them, but if things are going to slowly, things will be sped along to keep the action moving along (usually very quickly).

Keep in mind that that is just how I would ideally like to run my groups if there were guildies with me... there is no expectation whatsoever from anyone in the guild to run with other people in the guild or do anything at all. If one day , there are some of us on who would like to try out a raid or something we are welcome to do that.. but no one is obligated to be the least bit friendly towards anyone else and is encouraged and/or welcome to maintain the character of their sinister drow character or whoever they might be playing at the time.

You are welcome to group with anyone, pi** anyone off and/or do whatever you can to blow the reputation of the guild. You are also welcome to build your own reputation as an excellent player which would transcend that of the guild. Obviously angering others is not encouraged but maintaining the integrity of the game as a roleplaying game is first and foremost. So if you joined a group and some grindy type person who wanted a fast completion was demanding that you do something a certain way which was not in maintaining the integrity of the game, and you didn't comply and/or somehow developed a 'bad' reputation as according to them, this is nothing that we would worry or care in the least about.

I currently own the Guild Title Rise of Chaos and depending on the response I recieve... quite honestly over the years it has only been quite rarely that I have come across any other characters/players that I would like to have in the guild....and I also have a lvl 30 guild with another name, that I would be transferring the name over to. Rise of Chaos is not set in stone either, it is just the main name that I am considering. I have some others in mind and if a few people expressed interest, it would be quite possible (and probable) to agree on some other name. In fact the one in the title will probably be changed anyway so that we don't expereince any unnecessary backlash from the MMO grindy types that we will probably be forced to group with most of the time. PM'ing me is probably preferred, simply tell me a little about your character and maybe something you like about what I wrote and/or agree with and we can take it from there.

Interestingly not much response.. I guess the people who would be interested in this guild could be like me in that they would not join anyone else's guild for fear of being annoyed/irritated etc.

Let me just reiterate... the only point of this is to simply build reknown while at the same time possibly gathering some likeminded people together.. there is no seniority involved, I mean after the preliminary sacrifice of your first born to the dark gods to see if we're 'a match'... there isn't really anything else that will be expected of you :D

I mean I see interesting characters around Thelanis all the time, usually they appear fairly new at the game... but these are the types that would be welcome.. the top priority is enjoying the game.. not so much doing things a certain way or ensuring a 'non-fail' as so much of the games population seems to be oriented towards. All of my characters are already well known and hated so there isn't much in the way of reputation, and everyone who joins is encouraged to run anonomous... which I find is the best way to avoid any unsightly annoyances from the general population, i.e when joining a group etc

So in any case.. if you enjoy an amusing atmosphere then feel free to contact me...mainly it'll be to have more people getting reknown and once your in, you'l be free to use the ship etc for your own purposes.

Honestly, there are so many guilds... I don't know how anyone choses nowadays.

I went from X on Xoriat with a bunch of great players, co-founded The Unbound and then when the merger hit, joined Legion. Took a 6 month AFK, formed Archangels and co-ran that for a bit and took another 6 month AFK, did a bit, took another 6 month AFK and then left guild life to be on my own.

I've looked at all the guild lists and see so many that I have not clue where I want to go... if anywhere.

The big thing now is......... guild reknown and the ammenities they offer.

The better the rep and skills a player, the more likely they want to be part of a guild that has the most reknown and work their way down from there.

Starting guilds seem to have to pick up whomever they can get and build up reknown and then become more selective.

The criteria you have listed for membership is a tad confusing and maybe a bit much for a fledgling guild. For example... "a High Fantasy dark themed guild" but to not have attitude? Not sure that world work. Perhaps I'm not reading it correctly, but there appears some contradictions.

My suggestion is that you might be better off finding people you team with regularly and seeing if they might put an alt or 2 in to help you build up.

Archangels started off very well and quick because we were lucky to attract some high talent people that hadn't yet formed their reps yet and then we got a couple of high rep people to put a few alts in. Eventually it exploded and we had apps every day.

Anyways... just a few thoughts for ya.

quite a few points of the OP are contradicting and downright confusing on what you are looking for.

No I would love if a couple of you jokers wanted to put an alt in one of my guilds... I mean we've been grouping off and on for years, always a pleasure when one of you guys turn up i.e. from Xoriat ... and I group with Arkanis and the Inferus Sus guys every now and then too.

But I think Im just going to hire out some farmers from around the harbor and get one of em to a high level and then do a name change to one I decide on.. Maybe after its lvled up a bit a couple of you guys can throw an alt in. Then, yes, I can subject you to my tyranny and imbalances on a daily basis :D
