My main is an elven AA. Most times nothing gets even close to me and one swing dead. I'm a F2P guy and just bought Sorrowdusk so I can eat up even more favor for later, but the max I can probably go right now is 14 level or so I think.
Now, being a solo guy, money is at a premiem. Opening up Drow has got me thinking, 2fighter/pali16/rogue2 or fighter2/cleric16/rogue2. I want to feed my main AA with healing, but still have fun with the drow char. The drow , unfortunately, I built as 16str,16dex 14con 10allthe rest, and I don't know if I can afford to mail all the yummy stuff back to my main to reroll.

Which leads me to this...

I got a +2 holy short sword of punc and a +2 bodyfeeder of punc both for under 3 grand. Should I consider a completely different build? Keep in mind, I'll only be getting to 14 level or so. I think I can whipe out the mobs, but what about bosses? I was thinking maybe going rogue? It's a lot of game time and wanted some advice. Thanks to all!!

Go cleric. You can heal tons and feed the main. What about fighter12/ranger6(tempest)/rogue2? GRRR!!

It really depends on what kind of character you want to play. If you plan on splashing rogue then you ALWAYS start at 1st level with rogue for max skill points. I'm taking that when you say you want to feed your main with healing your talking about keeping him in plat for buying wands and such. If that is the case I'd suggest a 14/2/2 Bard/Fighter/Rogue. You can self-buff and heal plus you can max out Haggle to help raise more plat.

Also, keep your eye out for some premium loot items you can sell on the AH. You will gain much more doing that then selling at the vendors. Speaking of vendors, are you making sure your selling weapons at weapon vendors, armor at armor vendors and etc? You will make more plat doing that then selling in a tavern or at a general vendor.

Thank you so much for the quick reply.

Ya, the short swords I got for cheap(+2holy punc/+2body of punc) and the fact that the AA...my main char... may need some healing, (wandsetc.) really got me wondering what direction to take with the drow. Is a 2fighter/16cleric/2rogue gimp? I was thinkin of going 12fighter/6ranger/2rogue, basiscally a carbon copy with tempest instead of AA to feed the main. But I keep hearing Paladin is the S**T and I don't know what to do?

The thing you want to remember is if you are looking for something to "feed" your main then you need a build that is as self-sufficient as possible. Otherwise you spend as much trying to farm for plat as you are sending to your main.

Some helpful hints:

1. Use hirelings when possible. (Much cheaper then wands/pots)
2. Make a self-healing alt. (Cleric, Bard, etc)
3. Look for low level weapons with SILVER. You can sell them on the AH for people to craft with.
4. Unless crafting yourself you can also sell any Essences you find too.
