Good day to everyone,
So i tried to search the forums if the doublestrike from Epic Cutthroat blade (6%) "stacks" with Epic Swashbuckler double strike (6%). Unfortunately, there's no definitive thread/ guide that confirms whether it does or it does not.
I'm inviting, moreso asking help from the community to scrutinize if the double strike from these 2 items does stack and perhaps we can study other items later on.
EDITED:. Revising Methodology for a more practical with less observer bias for measuring double strike Proc.

There was a similar thread http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=307665 here. But i dont think there was an actual study done. Also, plz add bard to the list of DS buffs.

Criticism:
It's the exact same effect on both items, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say it doesn't stack.

It might look the same from the examination window, but the type wasn't mentioned. So it can possibly be an untyped bonus. Untyped bonuses stack from different items/sources.
Fighter Capstone - 10% COMPETENCE bonus to Doublestrike (DS)
Monk Wind stances - 2.5 to 10% INSIGHT bonus to DS
Ranger Tempest 3 - 5% unknown bonus to DS
Bard Warchanter II - Inspire Recklessness 5% MORALE bonus
Paladin Spell Zeal - 10% SACRED bonus to DS
To the other poster above, no need to test for Inspire recklessness, as its a different source (ability/song) and is clearly typed as MORALE bonus.
The bonuses from weapons are unknown and might probably be untyped.
Also, something that might be similar to this is Concordant opposition. Two Greensteel Concordant Opposition coming from a weapon and a jewelry "stacks", that is having 2 different rolls.
So again, unless someone with more definitive information (e.g. a Dev) or someone who has tested this definitively, it is still possible that bonuses from these 2 items or from any other different items (Cutthroat + Timeblade) "stacks".

I have already read that thread. I would not have posted this one if i've found a more definitive/comprehensive source of information already.

Dont forget about the sacred doublestrike bonus from the Paladin spell Zeal. Its providing 10%, and even though i played a Paladin for a long time, i didnt really recognize it stacking with f.e. Inspire Recklessness.
But that might be just due to the fact that i didnt have a warchanter-bard always next to me.

Met,
I wouldn't go too far out on that limb just yet. It kinda looks like they are stacking. If they are both untyped then they should stack right?
...
Again, the bonuses from weapons are unknown and can be assumed as untyped.
...
But it could just as easily be assumed to be something other than untyped as well.
One should never assume.

Yep, i agree. If information is needed, test it out, but do not assume, now do you have the said weapons? I could use the help. ;)

I do but I'm lazy. Ask anyone who knows me. That's why I like to ride around in backpacks.
