Well, running it with 2 people on epic the day it was released, having never run it before on any difficulty...yes, it can be failed.

I failed it several times when soloing, and at least once in a group. May have been on elite.

I failed it solo on my monk even when I was a bit over level, on hard.
Just too many different directions to cover after the trash friendlies die and with little to no healing available to pass to Veercher from a monk it just didn't work.

with even a second it would be easy enough heck I think any hireling would have distracted things long enough for me to finish.

I failed it once soloing with my fighter on normal around level, didn't have any way to heal the guy and he died.
