When you right click a enemy and they show up in that bubble on the right of your screen, theres a thing above their picture that says CR:<Number>.
Could anyone tell me what the number means?

Challenge Rating
This shows the average level of a party of adventurers for which one creature would make an encounter of moderate difficulty.

This is based on pnp D&D and not DDO though. It's just a holdover from the original. Normally PCs are limited by gold/magic item per level. Therefore you'd normally be fighting multiple lower level things that add up to a certain CR number to give you enough xp for that encounter.

The CR number means the level of player character party against which a room full of those creatures would a typical low threat.

It does NOT mean that one creature would be a decent challenge for a full party of that level, although some people will claim that. (That's what CR means in some other games that aren't DDO)

In addition, CR basically tells you the caster level of the monster's spells, and is close to the creature's HD (or HD/2 for elemental, skeleton, zombie)

Simple enough. Just lets you know if you should try killing something or not haha
Thanks :D
