View Full Version : This is rather ridiculous (another 30005 post)

First thing I wanna say is, I've read every sticky, and even every post that comes up under a search for "30005" on these forums, so please don't waste everyone's time by posting the same meaningless copy/paste replies with links to stickies. And yes I already have a support ticket submitted.

So I've been getting the 30005 error when trying to upgrade to VIP. By itself, that is annoying and disappointing, but not unexpected (I've had it happen before, and it's been a problem with Turbine since at LEAST 2007 (http://forums.ac.turbine.com/showthread.php?t=33983)). Sure I've had this account since 2006 (not continuously active), and haven't moved in that time, but the credit card number itself has changed, so I'm not surprised to have this dumb issue pop up again.

The part that does surprise me, and which I find hilarious and ridiculous, is that the VERY SAME CARD which has been giving the 30005 error all weekend, had no problem whatsoever buying turbine points or buying a character transfer between servers. Same card, same info, same day, only VIP upgrade errors out.

Known problem when paying for vip, where buying points don't have that issue.
Account support is for payment problems.

The only consolation to the 30005 error existing at all is that the account support staff at the call center are quick and efficient. Only way that part could have gone faster would be if they worked weekends too.
