View Full Version : Would the devs be very annoyed if we all piled into 1 tavern, 1 instance,on 1 server?

i was just wondering what wud happen if everyone on say Khyber server was to organise and all go to 1 instance, 1 tavern one pvp brawl area -- and EVERYONE PILED INTO THAT ONE AREA and just GLOMPED THERE AND BUGGED OUT FOR A WHILE?

and glomped and glomped....

maybe then a DM will spawn a Dragon???? (or maybe 3 dragons)
and then everyone can go bonkers?!?!?!??!

what do you think will happen? good idea? bad idea? why or why not?

They tried something similar back on Keeper in house p theater and everyone was getting about 1 fps, at least those who didn't crash outright.

This happened in SWG after the NGE, and not only did it crash the server, bans were handed out like candy.

Organizing an intentional server overload is probably against the EULA here as well.

I would not suggest this.

Best case scenario, everyone simply gets killed by a GM, worst case, everyone involved gets banned.

Bad juju either way.

This is exactly what used to pass for live events. They did this - on purpose - several times in the first year or two of the game, playing trivia games or rewarding bios that appealed to the dev in question, and handing out +1 UMD wands as rewards.

It was ugly. Really ugly. With a capital "UG"

The 'tards spamming spells constantly didn't help, either. Made the situation rather worse, in fact :D
