View Full Version : Non-named, BTA handwraps? Are there any quest that drop them

Reason I want to know, is BTA items remain BTA after they are crafted; only non-named items can be deconstructed and crafted. I know it works with outfits and other weapons, but I need to find a bta set of wraps to mess around with.

non-named BTA items seem to be options for quest rewards where other named rewards are available. Does anyone know of any quest rewards for non-named wraps?

Thanks

Any quest or quest chain which drops BtA items can drop BtA lootgen handwraps as one of the options.

Sharn is probably best, since the quests are low level and easy, and have an entire reward list of BtA items. Normally I'd recommend Threnal or the new Harbinger pack because they are higher level and can drop better wraps. However, since you are disjunctioning them, then the base item doesn't really matter (unless you need a metallic wrap, then you're going to be doing a LOT of Devil Assault, and they won't be BtA).

You may have a better chance of getting your handwraps by running quest chains that specifically drop named handwraps. When they aren't on the list there is a high chance that there will be a random set of handwraps there instead.

I ran all parts of sharns and farmed them...seems some drop weapons, some drop armor, clothing, etc.

I have seen plenty of BTA weapons drop, but no handwraps. Does anyone know a short chain that has named wraps as an end reward? I know the catacombs does (endless something), but it takes forever. i did that 3 times and never saw named wraps...

Anyone know of any others? Thanks in advance.

I farmed the **** out of Sharn and didn't see a single pair of wraps drop. :(

Off the top of my head.... Catacombs, tangleroot, deleras, sorrowdusk all drop named bta wraps a end reward.

The point is that when the named wraps fail to drop there should be a higher chance of a random BTA pair being there instead.

Why are you looking for BtA handwraps? If you have the shared bank in order to trade BtA items then just transfer the shards over and let that character combine them. As far as I've seen all combines are 100% chance of success no matter the level.

I guess if could be so the wraps could be re-used by other characters later. If so then nevermind my stupid question :)

The P2P lordmarch quests drops bound to account random weapons as the chain end reward.

I don't specifically recall wraps but I guess it's highly possible.

Probably the best way to test is to run it on a monk with end rewards set to "based on class" and see.

You are correct, actually adding a shard to an item requires zero crafting skill, similar to putting a battery into a flashlight. But don't crafted items automatically bind to the character they were crafted on? In which case there is functionally no difference between BtA and loot gen handwraps.

I don't think I've actually seen any non-named BtA wraps dropping before, on pure Monks and builds with Monk splashes.

Can anyone confirm that they actually drop?

BtA items retain the BtA when crafted.

It always seems that people weigh in on how you should do something instead of answering the question. I want BTA wraps....do they exist? if so, where?

I know how to play a monk, I know how crafting works, I just want BTA wraps...i explained why I want them in my initial post.

And those who actually figured out that you want them for crafting have already answered. Farm the quests that give BtA items even if they aren't named. The best example that comes to mind are the Red Fens quests. The list of items is long and you can just tell the game to drop something for your class. Hopefully you'll get what you want.

Reason I want to know, is BTA items remain BTA after they are crafted
This is a bug and is going to get fixed to be BTC. It's not worth worrying about.

Handwraps I have not yet seen... but am hunting for my TR'ing monks.

Edit: Finally pulled one from the Sentinals chain in House D.

I posted the same query about a year ago; the consensus was that non-named BTA handwraps don't currently exist in game.

Thank you. No point in farming for them then :)

Named wraps are not craftible.. as the OP stated he was looking for BTA unnamed handwraps to craft BTA wraps.

I have never seen BTA non-named handwraps appear - the advice to farm stuff such as Deleras or Threnal is interesting though.

I have however seen a fair few BTA random gen metallic quarterstaves, mostly from Deleras.

red fens vulcoor spire, the one with the scrops drop a bta weap in reward list. this weapon is non-name but i don't know if wraps are one of the types it will drop. i've seen axes, xbows, repeaters, that i can recall atm.

none of the sharn quest drop bta wraps. even the random bta weap drops don't have wraps in the list according to the wiki.

I got my BtA Handwraps as an end reward from Red Fens Into the Depths. The end rewards are BtA and one just happened to be wraps.
