wonder when the devs will apply new animations for exalted smite or divine sacrifice...must've been overlooked again...

I'd hope that they don't. And revert the ones they did add.
The new animation for Smite Evil is a nerf to Palis. Especially TWF palis, as the offhand doesn't get applied.
Currently, the saving grace is that Exalted Smite doesn't use the nerfed animation, so past early levels, it doesn't matter.
The new animations, in general, were terribly implemented, unless they wanted to make combat feats even less useful than they were before.

i would think all special attacks are gonna get an animation at some point. Sunder trip adn stunning blow are three of the more common used where as smites and DS are reserved for one class.
On i side note, id hate if they add it and my TWF pally no longer gets a % proc of off hand smites and DS. Thats one of the few perks they have and pallys need a buff if anything, not a nerf.
I really hope they don't, myself. I probably wouldn't use them if they interrupted my attack chain.

Well, terrible Cleave and Great Cleave animations were added years(?) before they were fixed, and they were fixed at the exact same time the new terrible animations were added. With that in mind my guess would be Exalted Smite will get a terrible animation in a few years, when Smite Evil's animation is fixed.

I thought smite evil twf animation procced offhand? The attack looks like I swing with both hands, yes? I'm pretty sure I've seen the double boosted number that means offhand smite.

I think the dev's should consider doing the following. Make the special effects go off at the beginning of the animation, but leave the existing delay so that you can't just chain some special attacks as before. I think this is the intent of the new animation, but now the current animation just means that you miss targets with the Smite Evile (and other special attacks) more often. Just a thought.
