Question: did you fubar the reward tables?

Foreword: I tend to run my needed raids back to back, so I get them done and I won't think about them till timers expires. At the moment, it means running 3 Shrouds back-to-back, 2 VoDs, and 2 Reavers.

Well... Over the past few days I've noticed that the rewards are "cut": it won't give me the usual selection of items (i.e. 10 for Shroud), but only 4. It has happened for one Shroud, one Reaver and one VoD so far, and all happened in the past weekend, just before before the U9.1 patch.

Granted that it never happened to me before in 5+ years of DDO, can anyone can confirm this?

Sadly, I didn't take any screenshot: I didn't think about it while being befuddled and ranting over guild chat, but I will rerun them soon anyway... Timers are ticking! :cool:

If it happens again, I'll take and attach a screenie to this OP.

Noticed that too but outside of raids as well. Did a run in Epic Big Top (I know epic does not effect loot tables in end reward) last night and only got one item choice (+1 Thundering Great Axe), found it odd but not a deal breaker. Did Epic Snitch and had 3 choices and a big blank field below them like there items missing...

It looks like the code that truncates loot in the regular chests has spread to the end rewards as well.

I've been running leveling quests on my sorc, and the reward tables are fine... except, when greater essences dropped, I get multiple choices for the same thing, i.e. a choice between 7 Greater Arcane Essences, 7 Greater Arcane Essences, and 8 Greater Arcane Essences.

I'll try to get a screeny in here in awhile.Eh, that's normal. If you don't turn off "quest end reward based on class", you can easily get the same item 3 times at lower levels. There's no sanity check to make sure the rewards are different, or that one isn't strictly better than another.

You're just unlucky.
I've seen choices between 2-3 sets of greater essences, and never have they been the same. If the types are randomly chosen, of course, there is a chance you'll get the same thing 2-3x. It should be moderately rare though (~1%).

Nothing better than getting these in the SAME rewards choice

7 greater air essences
11 greater air essences
3 greater fire essences


yes i've seen this multiple times (2 same essence but different amount choices, and one different essence)

It started in update 9, and is still present. Before, you were guaranteed a certain number of drops, based mostly on the length of the mission. 4 for Medium length quests (like Dreaming Dark's). Now, you get 1 to 4 drops.

Ok, just ran 2 Reaver's Fate back-to-back. One yielded 7 rewards, the other 6. WAI?

Okay, just got offered just a "Large Steel Shield" as the sole end reward for Where There's Smoke... . That does seem to go beyond just intended randomness of loot tables. That's not a "short" quest, so really should have had more than just one item.

I have had at least 3 occasions where I got 1 item in my end reward list (plus guild renown).

i.e.
