Update 9.1 running will cancel out /death.
Goodbye old "/death count" friend you will be missed but not forgotten. No joy will ever be matched to that of someone checking their death count. Then that pure 5 second bliss of watching their life tick down, running around in circles. Screaming frantically to no avail until poof.
