I'm deciding to put holy then holy burst on my silver rapier, but i can't decide to use the bleeding shard i do have instead of grinding my way up to evil outsider bane. can someone run the math?

Errr, is it any contest? 1d8 vs 2d6 + 2 that gets boosted by crits? Even without crits that's 4.5 damage better.

You also can't have both Holy and Holy Burst. Pick one.

Evil Outsider Bane is way better.

It does more damage.

It adds more to your to-hit.

You're going to decon it back to silver, then put holy burst? Well, the nice thing about crafting is once you get to the level, it doesnt cost THAT much to redo shards. But yeah, no question on the bane. But why not just put lawful outsider bane, since that's a devil boss beater anyway, and lawful bane is lower level.

If you're using it against Evil Outsiders anyway, even Lesser Evil Outsider Bane would be better than Bleeding :), providing 1d6+1 vs 1d8 extra damage, as well as +1 attack bonus.

Might make a Vicious X of Bleeding with the Bleeding shard..?
