Can I add dodge to my newly crafted armor with the stone of change? Brand new to crafting so any advice is appreciated.

It can be done. If you do so and happen to get bugged, please bring it to the forums. I would advise a screenshot before the bind/attune and then if it bugs take another one.

The reason? I've seen someone on the forums who recently bound and attuned some crafted armor and when they logged back in the ML had changed. If yours does the same or similar than I think we could make a claim that the stone of change may bug crafted items.

Good luck and enjoy your new armor!

Thanks for input. Seems like I need to craft first in order to get a ML. Will take screen shots for insurance.

Hey there jacob, noticed a few more people on the forums saying the Stone of Change bugged the ML on their crafted items and I was wondering if yours did so or if it came out fine?

No. I crafted eleven chain +1, +1 natural armor (ML 3) no problem. Went to stone of change and tried to add dodge. Stone would not allow change. I double checked recipe and I have the correct ingredients. Tried to attune just to see, no effect there either.

You definitely need to attune before you can add dodge. So the problem is if you can't attune it.

The item is bound already due to the creafting. Would the game see a difference in the two types of binding? Should I have bound the item prior to crafting/deconstruction? Maybe even added dodge prior to deconstructing, assuming that deconstruction would not have removed dodge. What fun...

You do need to "bind & attune" the armor before you can do the ritual, even if it is already bound.

You will want to do it after stripping the item. Not sure about before or after crafting, though. I know stripping a "bound & attuned" item strips it off as well.

Just throw it into the stone of change with a bunch of khyber dragon shards and you're good to go. (Actual formula is min level squared, but if you throw a whole bunch in there, the stone will do the math and leave the difference.)

If the item has no level, you need 400 shards to bind/attune.

It appears to be based on the original; i needed 400 shards even tho the item was now a level 3.
I've bought a few lev. 2 items on the AH, but haven't gotten around to testing my hypothesis.

And FYI - it works this way already. Same with, for instance, Dragontouched Armor or other BTC stuff. You still need to bind-attune it.

I don't think the stone of Change have been reconfigured to the new items and abilities.

I tried to attune my Tourney armour - it did succed and used the khyber, but the effect did not stick.
In fact, I could attune it again, with the same results.

Which means - that performing alchemical rituals on it does not work.

Same goes for my crafted 3+/+1NA/invuln shield - attunes well, but does not craft.
