View Full Version : Paladin Divine Sacrifice Causing Pause?

I would like to know if anyone has run tests/numbers on this...

I have noticed it for a while, but figured it was just lag because of my computer...

Standing still beating down one of the rares in Amrath, I noticed that every time I used divine sacrifice it caused my character's attacks to pause...

So I decided to watch the combat log to see if the actually damage was paused and sure enough, every time I hit divine sacrifice, the whole combat log paused for the same amount of time that my character did...

Has anyone else noticed this? Has anyone done testing to confirm that this does indeed pause your attacks and therefore pause your damage? I know that I don't see a pause when using my ki strikes on my monks, so it's a little bit of a nuisance to me now that I know it's not lag.

You can get hestitations if you are hitting your smite button with no smites available.

Hitting divine sac while it is on timer shouldn't cause them, though.

I get the pause sometimes too....but it seems to be when you hit it at certain points in the attack chain (TWF).

I don't really care though, enough to complain about with other classes etc :)

Well that's just it... I know that you're going to get a pause if it's on timer, or if you Smite and you have no smites...

I've learned to time it properly so that I'm not on timer... However, I did notice that this little 'pause' is worse when I'm alternating between Exalted Smite and Divine Sacrifice... It's not like it's stopping me from being able to play my Paladin, but it is still a bit of a nuisance.
