greetings. I have put together a pretty powerful dual-wielding build. so far, its had little to no trouble out of most of the quests ive been through, but i havent been through much with her yet (cause shes low level).

STR 16
DEX 16
CON 13
INT 12
WIS 8
CHA 8

Human
she has 58 hp.
she is level 3.

her purchased feats are:
2 weapon blocking
2 weapon fighting
2 weapon defense
oversized 2 weapon fighting
diehard.

before you say that the int is too high, lemme tell you what it is for: the extra skill points.

I usually use this powerhouse to take cold (or is it hot?) steel to my enemies. she can tumble, making her agile; she can swim very well; and she can fall extreme distances taking little damage.

I wear the heaviest armor that permits my tumbling ability to work. so far its been chainmail, i will make a new thread once this changes.

I can tank ( in the oldest sense of the word) but not effectively if you cant heal me and im not soloing. Generally, i can kick nearly everyone's ass, however dont expect me to go straight to that level 20 quest and own it.

Im aware that i need to equip this character with toughness, badly, however it was my mistake not giving it to her from the start. it was also my mistake for not making her constitution higher. even so, before you tell me diehard isnt useful endgame, your talking to a person who expected his character to die repeatedly (and didnt get the repeat-death character).

No need for tumble, no need for swim, no need for the int unless you want improved trip. Dex is too high, Str and con are too low.

2 weapon defense, 2 weapon blocking - not good feats. Diehard is ok but if your in a party it holds no purpose.

Rolling a new toon wont take long and you will be happier for it later on and wont have to buy a LR.

I don't know what race you are but here's a 28pt human.

Str - 16
Dex - 15 (+2 tome here)
Con - 16
Int - 8
Wis - 8
Cha - 8

or

Str - 16
Dex - 16 (+1 tome here)
Con - 15
Int - 8
Wis - 8
Cha - 8

Feats

1 - Toughness
3 - Two Weapon Fighting
6 - Khopesh
9 - Improved Two Weapon Fighting
12 - Greater Two Weapon Fighting
15 - Toughness
18 - Toughness

1 - (F) Power Attack
2 - (F) Weapon Focus
4 - (F) Oversized TWF
6 - (F) Weapon Specialization
8 - (F) Improved Critical: Slashing
10 - (F) Greater Weapon Focus
12 - (F) Greater Weapon Specialization
14 - (F) Stunning Blow
16 - (F) Superior Weapon Focus
18 - (F) Sap or other
20 - (F) Quick Draw

For your enhancements max damage and HP as first priority. Haste boots, STR, specialization and toughness enhancements are easy ways to do this. Pick up http://compendium.ddo.com/wiki/Enhancement:Fighter_Kensei_I and the rest of the line when possible.

thanks man, but about the tumbling i find it works good in wading faster. still, gonna re-role ASAP.

anyone else wanna put their input? im pretty sure i got what i need right here but i still want more advice, for reassurance that im going the right way.

About tumble on a fighter... With GH I get enuf tumble to actually tumble. While in SD stance I can tumble around faster than I can run - really great when I need to catch Sally. (With Xyzzy, I have to leave stance to catch her.) That's the good part of tumble. The bad part is when I'm face to face intimidating a boss I don't want tumble because I end up tumbling left or right too far from them and have to stand up and correct. I like the short hop while staying next to them most of the time.

Ye... I like more skills too but find that the increase above 4 (after a +2 int tome) to be costly to Str or Con or Cha. Intim, jump, and balance are the most beneficial - UMD is in there when I have 4 to spend.

My dex is 12 base and has +2 tome applied. I'm THF so this is too low for you. However, with armor limits to AC, it's more than enough.

Not sure if you have any other toons or higher levels or not but some stuff comes to mind:

Although the builds called Dual Blades pick the great axe on Korthos and swap to TWF at lvl 6 or higher. If you have a good two handed weapon and decent to hit you can run through content with no problems. Only once you get to mob like trolls in house K and Earth Elementals (at lvl 5/6) will you have to worry about HP.

Take the Angers Wrath set on Korthos and the Insight goggles. Run WW a good number of times, it gives some good loot on the rewards list. Run Durks and kill Muck at the end for muckbanes.

If you're in a PUG and are the most experienced player take the lead, you have good HP, good DPS and should have no problems leading the way.

At low levels you're not going to make enough money to buy the best weapons and armour, instead spend your money on Cleric Hirelings and Cure Light Wounds pots.

I am guessing from your base stats this is a 28-pt elf (10+6+8+4 = 28). While elves don't make the ideal fighters, they have two things going for them: +2 DEX (making it easier to get TWF chain esp. if you have no tomes) and the Shadow Dragonmarks - specifically Displacement from Lesser DM. Being able to self-Displace on a non-caster can be a big boost to your survivability, esp. if you're a newer player without a lot of twink gear banked.

If you want to stick with elves, here's a build I did a long while back for someone else: a Dragonmarked 32-pt TWF ftr 18 / rogue 2 who starts out as a Kensai, then switches to Stalwart Defender later on (I only listed enhs for SD). Rogue splash adds UMD & Evasion. She starts out using 2H weapons, then switches to scimitars after ITWF (to take advantage of elf racial enhs), then switches to khopeshes later (and drops the elf weapon enhs). You'd need to tweak the build based on your limits (e.g., 28 pts etc.), but it might give you some ideas.

Something's a bit off, then, because your base stats add up to 29: 10 + 10 + 5 + 4 + 0 + 0.
