I am frustrated and not being able to resubscribe. Like it seems many others, I am getting the 30005 subscription error problem where the credit card verification vis a vis address doesn't work.

I know my account details and address details are correct and match - it's the Turbine system which is flawed. Any news on the fix for this? I've tried all of the space here and 0 there and so on suggested fixes but, honestly, that shouldn't have to be the fix (and for me doesn't work anyway).

Tried another 2 cards and another 15 to 20 combinations of characters.

Very disappointed with the myopic limitations put on the entries for what is meant to be a global game.

its there security procedures if your ip add is not within 2 miles of your billing address then your basically screwed.
like for me i have a american address FPO AP but i am no were near the US in location.
so basically your either going to have to fax and Ahhaahmmmm "trust" them or wait until they change there system,
i do not really think yours or my few bucks will sway them to change or even be helpful to us that cannot get our credit card updated and through the new verification system.
but let me know if you are succesful.

Amazing how this issue continues (as I am now finding) - I would have thought that Turbine would have recognised the need to fix this 30005 issue. After all, we are TRYING to give you guys some money so we can play the game. Makes good business sense to make it work, let alone make it easy.

So to add to the confusion - I had the same 30005 error, with multiple cards (and being in Australia, this problem seems common here). Have raised a ticket which sent me to the same ol' web sites with no help. Waiting..... waiting....

In the meantime, I checked with my bank and lo and behold there are 2 charges from Turbine - each time I tried to reactivate my VIP status, Turbine charged my credit card 9 cents - successfully charged it !!

I take that as a some form of "test" to make sure the charges can go through - which they did. Yet I still got a 30005 (cannot charge your card) error. Yet they did charge my card.... my bank is as confused as I am.

So community managers, please take note - I don't know how much business you are losing from what is an obvious issue with Turbine (I know of many game companies that do not have this issue, though they may have others.... ). But please raise this as an issue that needs to be looked at, as it affects a lot of overseas (potential) subscribers and there are more of us each day.

There are a variety of reasons why a player can see the 30005 error when trying to update a card. We generally start by recommending a review of the sticky as it does have a lot of useful information in it.

If the sticky doesn't help, please feel free to contact the Account Management support team. Contact options are in my signature. I'm sorry, but we can't assist with account specific inquiries or updates on the forums.

We do continue to research reports of errors, and to work to improve our systems.

As this is originally an old thread, I'm closing it now.
