After having played LOTRO for a few years, it was great to see the same alias system in this game also, but it seems a bit buggy :(
Alias shortcut doesn't work, I understand this isn't exactly a top priority game breaking bug, but as a rogue, being able to key-bind my trap/door detected alias would be very handy.
Using the ;target premade alias in a user created alias/emote doesn't seem to work.
Using an emote (in an alias) in any channel other than /say just prints the emote command to the chat.
finally not a bug more a wish/suggestion , please can we have sticky chat channels, it's far from idea having to select outgoing channel from chat tab context menu, miss tells are way to easy.
As stated I know this is non game breaking, but this is the kind of little things/polish that can really begin to bug yet should be so easy to fix.

I don't know what you mean by "sticky chat channels."
I have 4-6 chat tabs on my screen, and each remembers what outgoing channel I have set on them.
If I need to send to a different channel than default on a given chat tab, I direct the chat with a slash command. I.E.:
/g this goes to guild chat
/trade this goes to trade chat

The alias debate has been brought up a couple times before. The devs have not wanted to implement it in fullest form due to potential exploitation (ie an alias for healbots, farming, etc...). As of now, alias works mostly for basic textcommands/colors/emotes... but no full-blown macros.
I dunno alot about computers. Just the stuff I read on the internet. Search alias and you'll easily find the related threads.

I mean on a single tab, like in wow and lotro (which is by turbine) if i type /p to talk in party chat the tab remembers that and all following chat goes to party, im kinda getting use to the way DDO does it now, but sticky channels would be nice.

What i suggested Turbine already implement in LOTRO, it cant be abused, its the same as we already have but able to keybind an alias. Alias's cant cast or make any actions, only make a long line of text shorter.

Judging by your reply, I'm guessing you had no luck in using search. You can find more detailed info on DDO aliases here (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=282941&highlight=alias)and here (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=296421&highlight=alias), as well as some speculation to why we don't have aliases implemented ala LOTRO. Hope that helps.

I did read OP. You didn't seem to realize that this has been a discussed issue in the past. Those links I provided give some background to the past discussions on the topic. If you did realize that this is a known "issue", then you are beating up a dead horse. I gave you the benefit of the doubt. No need to get snarky.
