they aren't hard they are just boring both in game mechanics terms and aesthetically
teleport means you can't body block them, aoe damage means facing doesnt matter, and ADD aggro switch means trying to "tank" them is pointless
at least orthons have character with their wheezing and unique wormy death animation, and the switching to machinegun xbow is at least a variety of attack vs the "ice skate spin blade" the bearded devils do
make them throw explosive shuriken or plant beard bombs or something or the very least skin them so some are black ninja devils and some are red blood devils and some are white pasty albino devils

Well they're at least slightly improved from when they first hit the scene and had no cooldown timer on their teleport ability. They would just zip around this way and that aggroing on whoever and sticking around just long enough for you to turn around, but not quite long enough to get off more than a swing or two. Ah, the good old days. :)

Dance them. Usually helps it. But comparing it too Orthons isn't fair really. They have repeating crossbows and everything. But really changing the skin color doesn't help the combat.
Oh and they already do attack with their beards.

They use their Glaives, beards and have HADD. Why bring up trash mob which normally die within seconds?

Yep remover their teleport ability , make them follow the same rules as all the other mobs in the game regarding agro . This will make them far more intresting .

What? This would make them as boring as every other monster. Their teleport is what makes them even remotely difficult at times. If you could guarantee that they go through that web or disco ball, they would be way too easy!
Keep the teleports.
As for the aggro, it's not as random as people think. They go for casters and clerics first, in my experience. As they should.

Thankfully, I got a sarcasm booster shot from one of your earlier posts, which gave me a +10 competence bonus to my "Detect Sarcasm" skill
You should consider adding a /sarcasm off - subtlety isn't appreciated much around here :D

I am the sarcasm ninja , in and out before you know what has hit you , leaving those slow of take up bewildered at my bizare stance !

I like them exactly because they have Aggro-ADD and teleport around. Makesthem unique and gives them their own flavor.
You complain for the same thing as if you´d say change beholders because they always debuff you.

Let them teleport through blade barriers, they take damage from it since they went through it during the teleport.

They throw AIDS at you with their grizzly man beard, doesn't get more fun than that.

If you run backwards, they will teleport within your swing range. In running with the devils I run down the optional hall backwards while swinging dual banisher rapiers, and usually 3/4ths are dead before I get to the chest.

From a casters point of view, the most annoying thing is their melee range. Despite having a huge two-hander (ooer),
they have to stand right on top of you. This means 50% of the time you're greeted with the 'You're not facing...'
message when trying to zap them.

Translation. Your whole spam intimidate and shield block tactic doesnt work on them, so you dont like them. Perhaps if you built your characters to melee rather than turtle you wouldnt have these issues.
One of the things I enjoy most about ddo is the twitch combat, I'd like to fight MORE teleporting ememies!
Their beards are not as godly as those of the giants but they are still awesome.
