Looks fine to me. Even accounting for my first pally build being 28 points, it was less optimal than you have there. The pally is there to hammer the evildoers. Everything else you might want would be achieved with gear. Having said that, minor stuff which is rather personal depending on how you want to play it:

* If you know what you might spend the extra skill point on, it could be worth getting a +2 Int tome at L7 as well.
* It might be worth thinking about maxing intim now that it's a class skill, if intim is still worthwhile after U9, but your hate generation has good potential through DPS anyway.
* The pally might excel against evil, but can feel squishy/helpless against good aligned mobs. Thankfully, there aren't many of those.
* Remember to keep divine might/other DPS boosters active when you need 'em and keep on spamming that divine sacrifice!

I say gear it up and go to town on the bad guys!

agreed. this guys is already geared, min 2 lit 2 earthgrab greensteel sos for leveling, esos when i hit 20

the int tome is a no go, -2 to -1 gives my same ammount of skills.

had 79 intimi on this guy on first life, it worked out nice, but want to try something new. think i should draw plenty of aggro with hate from divine sac, etc, especially when i turn on the divine rightisness

I'm just into my 36 point paladin, I went WF though, and i don't regret it at all. My starting stats were--

18 +3tome
8 +2tome
16 +2tome
8 +2tome
7 +3 tome
15 +3tome

one thing in your build i would change is when you take Imp:Crit. I believe it's available at level 9 and adds a ton more dps then iTHF will.

I haven't jiggered with the points, but can you get CHA to 18 if you drop STR to 16 (and/or CON to 14)?

When you look at the Divine Might numbers, you will see that dropping STR to boost CHA is actually (usually) a net boost to DPS.

Also, pallys need less HP than other tanks because you get no-fail insta-heals in the Lay on Hands. As long as you take toughness and invest some AP in the line, you'll be fine. Each LOH should at minimum get you from 1% to 50% health. Usually more. (Unyielding Sov is a 100% heal but can be interrupted.) Plus, you get Cure spells to top off in between.

I would Hunter of the Dead while leveling and then convert to KotC when you hit Vale.

The AP line that gives you raise dead is handy in the 8-14 level range, when the healer dies and nobody can UMD scrolls or hit GS clickies. After level 14 it doesn't seem as useful.

I run a build very simliar to this except i went 20 str an 14 chars, but urs looks very solid, aim for a esos, and spam smite an DS,= alot of dps :)
