And if you don't know, How could I test to figure this out?

Thanks :D

Incite stacks the same way Dodge does. Same numbers don't stack, different numbers do.

yes but along that thinking: Dodge is an ac bonus.

Dodge 2 and protection 2 and insight 2 would all stack. They are 'different types'

I'm basically asking if the incite on DT is the SAME or DIFFERENT type than the 'bonus effect' from gloves of the claw set.(Since its not on the item itself, its a bonus u gain for the set. I Failed to ask the proper question i think)

Dodge of different values also stacks (and then further stacks with other armour type bonuses). I.E. Dodge +1 stacks with Dodge +2, stacks with +3 and also +4. Incite works the same way - 10% stacks with 20% and 30%.

It would take someone to test it to be sure. You could test the non-epic version with 10% incite since it is less costly. I'm not sure what's the best way to test threat though...

There is only one kind of Incite Bonus, and it doesnt stack with same values.

20% and 20% = no.

How do you know that? The description of the set says it gives 20% extra threat, it doesn't say "incite" anywhere as far as I can tell.

I'm expecting they won't stack, but I don't think anyone can claim they don't without actually testing it.

* Because there are zero indications that there are.

* Because a dev was talking about the similiar Thread reduction mechanic and how these stacks.

* Occam´s Razor.

Does this mean that the DT 15% rune would stack with a 20% rune?

Not trying to necro this thread, but I have the same question

I would like a reference to that. Yes or no is the same if you dont post the proof of it.

I dont think it stacks as well. But I cant really be sure of it.

They stack additively. 20% + 10% = 130% threat generation. Exactly identical effects don't stack with themselves in DDO. I'd have to check to see how all of the items are set up - I think that we've set most of them up as unique effects.

Going from this I'd say they stack, as long as they're not "exactly identical".

I believe that this was done BECAUSE we have incite on dragontouched, PrE bonuses and some of the ToD sets. A number of these give the same percentage of threat bonus but should be coded as differenty "types" (as was indicated by Eladrin) otherwise having DT and ToD sets would be pointless in some cases.

Unfortunately either the devs need to give us a definitive statement on what will stack and what won't (by item and sets) or we as players must do the testing to figure it out.

Or at least include the type of bonus on the items. There are a lot of places where that would be handy.

Some sort of report of total values for threat modifiers and other "hidden" bonuses would be nice too.

Agreed!
