Sounds like you used an Eberron energy cell instead of the Large Splintered Horn.

I recommend this planner (http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~delallea/ddo/shroud/cgi-bin/shroud.cgi?item=item&weapon=dwarven_axe&craft=1&forced=&altar=0) which highlights common points of mistake like that.

Sorry man, but all I've got is bad news.

You won't get the ingredients back. Your best bet is to sell those or trade them for some ingredients, to try and get them traded back.

Crafting planners are hosted by third parties - meaning that they are not Turbine's responsibility.

But out of curiosity, which two did you use?

And yes, I imagine this is exactly what happened. It's a very common mistake, hence all the Green Steel Great Crossbows we see on the AH (the non-Horn counterpart of the Greataxe).
