honestly, i've ran up the price on the AH just for kicks. call it the boredom of a person with a high haggle toon. last time i checked they were at 100k plat for 100 :D.

i'm just surprised that you and ninety are after them. the value of the tokens is seriously affected by the small/medium guild bonus.

1000 tokens = 20 chest pulls of renown equivalent to one casual player per day
3300 tokes = 66 chests pulls of renown equivalent to one power gamer per day

with full small guild bonus + 100% guild renown elixer that puts a legendary victory at 8k compared with 2k for a large guild like helpers or HoBT. since small guilds are limited by inputs and not takeaways each token turnin helps them more than a larger guild where the value is spread across a lot of members.

for example, someone like pilchards or double deviants could get 10 guild levels or more out of a million tokens. whereas my guild or HoBT would be in the 3-4 range. i doubt helpers would gain 1 level out of it.

seriously though, it's just a helping hand. I usually get quite a bit for helpers due to me TR'ing so much. all those lvl 2-14 fast farming quests nets me loads! if it doesn't have a large augment slot on it, i usually take the renown.

I've never turned in tokens either, figured I could help out a bit since it's apparently not illegal.

Plus we are level 56, so starting at level 57 we get +2 shrines with plat instead of TP points :) that's why im interested. heck, I would happily send a 5k TP card to up my offer as well :)

yeah, that is why i grouped you with my guild (we are 60 currently). we were stuck on 59 forever because 1/2 our members were on business trips :(

Technically you can get good items 1 in 10 times but otherwise you are looking at 75 tokens for a lv 9 item.

honestly tokens are more of a combo of several things:

1. that the good items used to be 10k tokens so a lot of us just stored them up hoping one day they'd lower them. Felice had over 30k tokens when they finally lowered the cost

2. the fact that renown pops on the list every time. it isn't the only place this happens (it also happens on the draconic rune turnin in reavers refuge)

I had the option of a LV when I did the elfcraft armor turn in. Not sure if it pops every time or how it relates to the efficiency of bronze tokens. So another option for those interested, I guess.

Or +4 'clean' stat items that sell for a fair bit on the AH, a lot more than 75 ABT's. Sometimes you even see +5 RR ones.
