i play the khyber server and i am a proud member of my guild 'the dragon order of arcanix' or DOA as we are known to those who run with us - the shroud seems to me to be the raid that makes or breaks a raid leader - if you can pull it together despite all those who wish THEY had the star and finish harry, no matter how many rounds it takes (i've completed even after 5 rounds) - then you are an excellent raid leader and deserve a cookie! for sure! - if you fall apart and get owned, well, only liars have 100% completion at the shroud - i know, because its just like herding cats - some days they do what you want and you think your in control, but its just a set-up for the next time so it really stings when they all scatter and chase different mice while you lead in vain, wasting your time and energy for nothing it seems, then you wipe and its all YOUR fault since you have the star and why didn't you make so-and-so do such and such, blah blah BLAH, etc. - LOL is all you can do and then put up a new ad that reads 'SHROUD' and go again, cuz you love it !!!

Does it matter if you count drunken Shroud runs in your completion ratio?
We've actually failed 1 drunken Shroud run but I cant remember the last time we failed a non drunken Shroud run.

I play on Cannith and agree, Shrouds can and do fail.
P1 fails due to serious lack of dps (never happened to me but I have heard of it)
P2 fails due to lack of communication (normally language barrier but sometimes just idiots)
P3 fails due to people not running water (can also fail due to puzzles, but that is, imo, less often)
P4 fails due to bad healing (albeit from lag or just unlucky placement etc)
P5 fails when Harry bugs out and randomly ports all over the place (only happened to me twice).
EVERYONE has failed a shroud at some point.

I have failed 2 times out of 50+ runs. I have woken up in a puddle of drool to find that I had completed a Shroud. Everyone had left after part 5 was done. I got up and looted the end chests then went to bed.

We even completed one that was a 7 round part 2 and then a part 4 where someone clicked the portal before everyone had shrined and then the pug wizard decided to be a jackhole in part 5 because of it.
I have personally seen wipes in every part of Shroud. Wipes happen.

some of the "at level" runs recently have been a little dicey but most shroud problems seem to be lag/connection related

PUG's do fail, however, the fail rate I've seen is below 5% for sure. I run 4-6 shrouds per week and don't see a fail more than once every couple months. It's very rare.
I disagree with your fail reasons, however.
P1 fails because Casters are piking instead of clearing mobs (read portal keepers) at portals. Lack of DPS contributes to this, but it is the casters jobs to clear portal keepers. If you fail part 1, your casters are bozos AND your DPS sucks. I've only ever seen this once in 3 years.
P2 Is actually the most common place I see PUG's struggle. Weak leadership is the problem if you fail part 2. Or a total tool that refuses to listen. But more often the leader is not taking charge and communicating and keeping people in line. It's not that hard, but it happens.
P3 If you fail in P3 you are just flat not paying attention. No group should ever fail in part 3. I've not ever seen a part 3 wipe.
P4 The other most common place to wipe. Typically due to lag or bad healing. Sometimes the DPS is craptastic to the point that the healers run out of mana, but thats a more rare occurance.
P5 With no penalty box and mana regen pools, there is NO reason for a wipe in part 5. It's easier than part 4. If you got through that, you should not run into any trouble here. Lag is the reason I've ever seen a part 5 wipe.

P3 If you fail in P3 you are just flat not paying attention. No group should ever fail in part 3. I've not ever seen a part 3 wipe. Saw a pug get stuck on one puzzle with about 8 people in the room when the wall came. Had a barb left at the end who ran around and finished the puzzles and ran water for the final 5 puzzles. Most epic part 3 ever.

Lag is the reason I've ever seen a part 5 wipe. With so many capped toons running it, I've never seen this wipe, mostly due to Clerics with DI =)
