The Chronoscope is an awesome raid. But, he's just part of the story and nowhere near as intimidating and fear inspiring as the first time you run Whisperdoom and learn the important lesson of Brave Sir Robin... RUN AWAYYYY!!!!!!!!!

Tremas might or might not be better. I have to vote against him for simple lack of name recognition. How many more-or-less similar tieflings did I kill before I cut him down? I lost count.

Whisperdoom, meanwhile, has a name that is spoken in fear by multiple NPCs. You know her when you see her-- not because of the name that conveniently floats over her head, but because of the monstrousness of her proportions, the impenetrability of her skin, and the brutality of her attacks.

While the original bracket of 32 was picked by Turbine, the match ups now are essentially chosen by the players. They had a loose reasoning to the original matches. You can see the original match ups here (http://www.ddo.com/monstermadness). And we never actually fight Tremas. We help him, chase him, fight his Abishai, then watch Suulo show him who's boss. Wish there was more to him really, perhaps he survived the ordeal and we'll see him in the present day. He seemed conniving enough to be more than just a story piece.

Vote still went to Whisperdoom though. Hard to compete with her considering she's present or mentioned in a few different quests and is quite intimidating when faced, for a spider.

Tremas did not scare me even at level when I faced him. He's a lot like Coyle, it wasn't satisfying to even be the one to deliver the killing blow. I expect he was/is trapped in one of the rooms you can't get to in Sins of Attrition, probably Invidia's (Envy) area, receiving hopefully eternal punishment.

Whisperdoom still scares me at level (in the quest you can actually kill her). Dispel, stinking cloud concealment, unbreakable(?) DR, fast regeneration, good outgoing damage, trash mob respawns. She just seems like a much more threatening boss.

No, I'm thinking of the right one. And just like Coyle, you never fight him, only confront him with dialogue. It's not satisfying, as I wanted to be the one killing both of them.

Like I said, from Suully's text, I expect Tremas to be imprisoned in Sins of Attrition, where the devils were sent for punishment.

whisperdoom, cos the tiefling is a putz and whisperdoom is a "unkillable" boss in her prime, and oh so very satisfying to kill when in her prime (prime=splinter skull chain).

As far as tieflings go, tremas wins the day for his race. He turns nelle into a dirty old woman. He reminds me of the sicilian in the princess bride. He is well voiced, as is that whole raid.

Whisperdoom is a discovery. So much bigger than I expected. A very different experience, and I have fond memories of running like all the demons of hell were on my case, past the shrine and to the entrance, on my brand new squishy sorc after a terrible attempt to kill her with magic. I don't think she even followed me that far. I still screamed. For that reason, in a difficult vote, she gets mine.

Whisperdoom will look at Tremas and he will run to Suulomades begging him for torture.
Tremas is a little boy compared to Whisperdoom. Plus, Whisperdoom is a cooler name than "Tremas" :p

After I made my ESOS i decided I wanted to try it out. For some reason Whisperdoom came to mind and I marched through tangleroot on elite until I got to her. I eventualy took her down but Tremas does not stand a chance. Whisperdoom regenerated something like 100 health per second (guess)

Ive really got to go with the one you actually get to kill, I like to kill my enemies, even though i know he is suffering eternal punishment, i still wish we could kill him
