I usually skip these events..too much thinking involved. And past events have always had awesome things that were 'not as intended' and people spent tons of cash making icey things that were nerfed (not too mention the time).
the egg thing? I just chuck that stuff..
so I found no one doing raids last night and decided to hop out to the cove and look around..
I saw that my hat could be upgraded with just some cash and some gems...so I decided to go for it.
boy was I a bit surprised at what I got on my hat.
A guildie hopped in and said, forget killing things, lets do the good stuff. We jumped in with a group doing level 25 kobald thing. We did it twice. I got enough stuff to make both tier (5?) items on my hat for my tank.
The hat?
+15 intim and +5 natural armor (barkskin basically)...@!!!!!!!
wow...5 bark. No more bark pots, got rid of seal of the earth...wow. wow. No more dancing myself with that stupid belt to try and get bark +5...no more begging the ranger in a group for bark...wow wow wow.
Freed up some back pack space and will be saving lots of money...
but the downside......lol
I started making shroud helmets with +7 intim and adding cold and deathblock and the like for specific non raid intim tanking....grrr...if I had known this hat was gonna be around I would have built a different slot out...
awesome hat....and it looks cool too..
