ok... it says it upgrades from sneak attack 3 to 4, but it starts with sneak attack 4, tried it out hopeing it would go to 5 but no dice, all i got was yellow augment slot, anyone else noticed this?

Yes, quite a lot of the tier 1 items have abilities above what they are supposed to have. So the tier 2 upgrades can be rather weak, as they would add abilities that the item has already.

This is in particular a kick in the nards for the Brawler's gloves, as the 'glass Jaw strike' doesnt work.

Is that true? It doesn't work? I've been so busy acquiring these items I have had the time to test their usage, especially since I've done all the grinding on my 19 FvS** who can't even equip them.
So, do we have a confirmation about their functionality?
**(edit well she entered the cove on Fri at level 17.. after her first run she was level 18, now she's MAX XP, but haven't leveled her due to desire to not be overleveled with her normal running partners.. but yeah.)

works for me on my monk. remember it only procs on unarmed strikes. in wind stance i see it hit about every 3rd mob on lvl 25 in the cove.
the stun part id never notice since hitting them immediately breaks it, but the trip is there also.

Never seen it too, even if I am fighting 17-20 CR enemies, they could be too high to be tripped...

I've never seen it actually stun or trip a target, but I have seen my targets saving when I roll a 20. I can't think of any other effect they might be saving from so I assumed it was the Glass Jaw effect.

Yes, but even epics made "1" on saves, while for this effect it never happened (or so it seems);
i managed to petrify some of them, and I think they should have an high Fort save.
But that's only what I saw on mine :P

They actually works. Im a twf user and I saw a monster trip twice in the past 2 days.
So I would say it works but with a save, so you wont see a monster trip often.

OK, so it's not just me. I didn't notice anything different happening after wearing them, but I wasn't sure exactly what I was supposed to see. I wonder if they'll get fixed any time soon or if they'll remain just a waste of gems.
EDIT: Seeing the other comments that say these are working, but I've been soloing a lot since getting them and I'm not seeing any tripping going on. Stuns yes, but I have stunning wraps and use Stunning Fist continuously so it's hard to tell. Either way, they don't seem very impressive. Maybe if I was fighting mobs at half my level I'd see some trips proccing - but at that point, why bother?

Perhaps it works like Ratkiller: Balance DC 17, and so 1 is not an automatic failure...(if skills are working as in Paper game)
