Upgrading lvl on event items.

If I upgrade my lvl 4 Tier 3 Cutlass to lvl 8 - will I loose the tiers?

Leveling is pretty fast at the onset, but building a tier 3 weapon takes time - so I would rather not have to do the tier upgrades again at 8, 12, 16 and 20...

But making 5 tier 3 weapons and storing them is also a bit of a headache.

Anyone tried the upgrade and can confirm how it works?

~~DukeP~~Been wondering this one myself. But seeing as you already have the lvl 4 T3 item, it would likely be easiest and cheapest for you to test it yourself. Listing the outcome here would also be appreciated.

My guess is that after upgrading to a higher levels you lose tiers because otherwise it would be cheaper (in shards) to get a level 4 item, get it to tier 3 and then upgrade it to level 20. It would be great if someone could confirm it though.

I can confirm that upgrading a lvl 4 tier 2 cutlass to lvl 8 returns it to tier 1.

Which is kind of annoying, but just means that You have to grind out a few of those, if You want to keep it through the levels.

(lvl 4, 16, 20?)
