was looking around in compendium refreshing on feat info and saw the description of the precision feat had changed
to include a fortification decrease on target.
"Precision While using Precision mode, you trade half of your damage for a +4 bonus to your attack rolls, and bypass 25% fortification. "
"and bypass 25% fortification", is this how the feat works now?
cant remember hearing anything about this change, its a Major change upgrade of the feat.
have anyone done any numbers on this, is it better dps on some bosses for low str?
does it work on undeads?
or is it a error in the compendium?
does it work on ranged?
id appreciate any feedback on this just amazed i could have mist this change

That is how it works, and it's still terrible. Consider 100% fort. Without precision: 100% of the time you get 100% damage without crits. With precision: 75% of the time you get 50% damage without crits, 25% of the time you get 50% damage with crits, which gives you 37.5% damage without crits and 12.5% damage with crits. Even if every single hit with precision was a crit, you would need to do 5 times as much damage on a crit just to break even.
Additionally, it turns out that 100% fort enemies such as undead and constructs are also immune to sneak attacks, and that immunity is not affected by precision or other fortification reducers.
I don't think anyone has tested it with ranged.

If you are running two handed weapons and have a wounder in both hands, that +4 means 20% more hits. For low strength toons that don't generate a lot of dps anyway, this is a way to significantly impact a battle. Since you can toggle it, when you are up against a boss, you turn it off and switch to burst weapons.
Everything in this game is useful, you just have to know how to use it.

It is highly unlikey for Precision to ever generate 20% more hits. That might happen rarely, but can't be assumed as the normal outcome.

No, it is not a way to significantly impact a battle.
Everything in this game is useful, you just have to know how to use it.
That statement can only be true as a misleading technicality.

Please explain how one could have a wounder in both hands while running two-handed weapons. I would very much like to know how to wield two two-handers at the same time.
