Gear set up question

Hi guys, contemplating some gear changes to fit in some of the event items. Having a hard time figuring it out the optimal setup though, and would like to see if anyone can come up with a good fit. Thanks in advance for the help all :) Below is my current set up, some comments as to what I came up with so far

Weapons: LitII, MinII, tier2 GS Maul

Goggles: Tharnes
Helm: No access to Minos Legens, so Pirate hat is great! Not sure what to put on it though
Necklace: Kensai (Veriks)
Trinket: Bloodstone
Chest: 2 sets of DT, primary (Resist +5, Crushing Wave, Earthgrab Guard)
Wrist: Leviks
Boots: Striding
Gloves: Greensteel. 45HP,Airguard
Cloak: Mabar
Belt: Knost's (FB Set)
Ring: Encrusted (FB Set, +6 str, +1 str, +2 str)
Ring 2: Heavy Fort Ring

Looking to fit in: Trinket, Cavalry Plate, Hat, off the top of my head. Obviously weapons too if I get to it. Also, along with any set up suggestions I would love a priority list in your opinion. My play time is about avg 1 hr per day and I probably won't finish everything I want, so want to be sure to get the best stuff out of the way

Concerns: Would like to keep GS gloves..I don't know if gloves were a good slot to put a GS on but it was a bit of a grind to make it so don't really want to swap it out..

Biggest problem I'm having now is how to fit in Heavy Fort..I would love to have Seeker on hat but it seems I have no choice but to put heavy fort there..

P.S. Assume no epics please. A bit tough to get groups on Orien =b

Ooh this is a good thread, I have a similar dilemma. I guess you're just going to have to deal w/ no seeker, gotta have heavy fort on a melee

Maybe if you gave some basic build information, like your CLASS for starters, people might be able to assist more.
Asking a generalized question like "What is the optimal setup?" will get limited results, since the answer is invariably "It depends". Be more specific.

Ah I see, my apologies, I indeed forgot to.

The toon I'm currently farming for is a level20 pure fighter, Kensai, maaaaaaaybe TRing somewhere down the line, but not anytime soon. If there are any other details you need please do tell :)

Hmm I don't think there's anything too great for Fighters here

Put the heavy fort and some useful skill (intimidate, balance, haggle, hide/ms) on the hat. Use the second ring for Kensai ToD ring and maybe put +2 con on it.

Gloves was not a good GS slot :p Gloves of Claw, Spectral Gloves, Charged Gauntlets... Oh well.

^ Is a good idea. Just gunna have to deal with no seeker. Don't think there's much of anything else for Fighters, unless ur going to farm for your alts. So jus get ur hat done

I see..is there really no way to fit in heavy fortification somewhere else, so I can take the +6 seeker on the hat? also, is the hat really the only useful piece of gear in this event for a Fighter? Seems like there's a lot of great stuff..
