View Full Version : Looking for feat/general advice for my acrobat

I've been working a lot with my 15 Acrobat (my first rogue to make it past level 5) recently and I'm really getting a kick out of playing her. Being immune to knockdown and slippery surfaces is just amazing, I love my attack speed with quarterstaves, haste boost, and haste, and the DPS is excellent. I also picked up Sap as a feat, which is awesome when I remember to use it--I'm still getting the hang of it but I brought it out regularly in a Tor run recently where I'd leap over the melee mobs, run up to casters, Sap them, then turn around and trash the melees. Really helpful for some CC.

I'm just thinking of ways to improve the build. In particular, I'm wondering about whether or not I should keep the THF line. I play in small parties frequently, and while I've gotten the hang of getting other party members to pick up aggro on first sight, I often end up taking aggro from groups of mobs who haven't been hit yet due to glancing blows. How much would I be hurting my DPS by dropping THF?

In terms of what to replace it with...well, I went with a weird flavor-ish build. It's planned as Half-elf 20 Rogue with Paladin Dilettante, which I like for the improved saves. I nicknamed it the BSer build (most of my characters have silly build nicknames), as my image here is of a rogue using their charisma to BS their way out of trouble. The first thing that comes to mind as useful to switch in would be Force of Personality, which would probably boost my Will save by another 5. I'd also consider TRing this character, at which point I'd be wanting to take Sneak of Shadows so I'll have to lose something for that.

Anyway, my current feats are

(1) Half-elf Dilettante: Paladin
(1) Toughness
(3) Two Handed Fighting
(6) Power Attack
(9) Sap
(10) Improved Evasion
(12) Improved Critical: Bludgeon
(13) Crippling Strike
(15) Improved Two Handed Fighting
(16) Opportunist
(18) Greater Two Handed Fighting
(19) Slippery Mind

And the build looks something like the following (NOTE: This isn't the exact build; I started with 12 Charisma, used a +2 tome at level 7, and then switched the Dilettante feat. I couldn't figure out how to represent this on the build planner so I went ahead and gave it a Sorcerer TR to get two extra build points, which I stuck in Charisma, and then just left out the +2 tome.). On an actual second life, I'd consider dropping Dex by two, and then using those four build points along with the two extra build points to max Strength (or drop Dex by one and dump Int). Also, the enhancements are split up into what I currently have and what I'm considering taking.
