I need some information from people who pulled the eardweller in finding the path as of now i did around 20 hard/elite runs
this i found out so far
the dweller is supposed to drop after the last of the 3 bosses died
so far in those give or take 20 runs i had 2 treasure bags dropping for
me the moment the last boss died and 2 times i was right on top if it when
i hover over it it just says treasure bag it doesnt say eardweller or anyting at
all. I found out you cant loot it you can target it but using the bag does nothing
nor does doubleclicking on it..
my question is
is this the dweller people spoke off ? i didnt hear a chime or anything but the last boss always dies inside my firewall so i asume it dies instantly leaving the bag behind.. then again it doesnt say eardweller just treasure bag and you cant use the bag or doubleclick on it.. nothing happens.. so what is this
is it a bug ?
is it a dweller ?
or what is it exactly ?
anyone able to pull a dweller inside path of inspiration and can tell me how it
come to pass ?
thank you.

i didnt even know it drops in finding the path.
i dont think it can drop from mobs either...
the eardweller "drops" only from end chests (and the optional cehst in teh dreaming dark), and it looks sort of like a little bug, a firewall will kill it instantly, and then a bag will drop, which contains the trinket. I was under the impression that you could only get it from I dream of Jeets, Eye of the Titan, and The Dreaming Dark chests. i may be wrong...

From Update 5 release notes:
Eardweller now comes out of various adventures in Inspired Quarter, in addition to Eye of the Titan: I Dream of Jeets, Inspiration Center and Plane of Nightmares now have places where it can be observed in its natural habitat. Eardweller remains an elusive and rarely seen quarry, however: it can be found more often in longer quests and in harder difficulty settings.
it should drop there but dunno.. ? it says you got to kill the rust monster for it to spawn other scources tell me that you got to kill the giant skeleton for it to spawn and another scource tells me its the last boss you kill for it to spawn.. that together with the 2 treasure bags i saw so far wich you cant use.. or pick up.. makes the whole thing very confusing for me i would love to hear from somebody who actually picked it up in the finding the path quest / inspiration center and tell me exactly what happened what the bag looked like and wich monster he/she killed last for it..
cause theres a lot of contradictions floating around the web i dont mind running the quest 500 times but at least i wanna know what to look out for :) and what that mysterious treasurebag that cant be picked up was.. and yes i was clicking on it for over 5 seconds but nothing happens and then you eventually go to sleep..
I've personally seen the Eardweller droping in this particular quest and I can tell you it's the worst of all the places it can drop.
If you're not quick enough, ie inside 3-5 seconds to grab it (hard to even know it's there really), you will sleep (awake) and not get a chance to pick it up. REALLY crappy.
It spawns roughly near the area between your Orb of Will and where the big Dal-Quor entity shows up in the background.

Aye, I've seen it in there myself once. It spawned when the last boss in the orb room died, i didn't see where or which boss died last.
At the time we noticed it we had maybe 2 seconds left to kill and loot it, but we fell asleep before anyone even got close.
It is still the little orange thing crawling around and if you kill it it drops the collectable bag containing the eardweller.

thanks for the input and yea i know its the most crappy one of the 3 to farm but its the only one i'm able to do on my caster atm whos specced for enchantment and dont have dreaming dark.. so i dont have a lot of choice..
its either jeets where the traps will probaly kill me 100+ and 250+ damage on elite is a bit harsh imo..or this one..
i still am puzzled about the treasure bag tho..

thanks a lot made things a lot clearer.. i never saw it so far then..at least i think so it doesnt spawn on certain end bosses then like advertised before but more after the last boss died.. you should see it somewhere between the ghost and the orb.. hmm.. this might be tough..

i still am puzzled about the treasure bag tho..
It's a little tiny Rust Monster that will appear, then try to run off. When killed, it will leave a treasure bag named 'Xachosian Eardweller' that only one person in a group can pick up. It binds to character on acquire.
If you don't manage to kill it before it runs off screen, you lose your chance. If you don't manage to pick up the bag before you are put back to sleep in Finding the Path, you lose it.
Finally, if you plan on TR'ing at some point, three of the Dreaming Dark quests are among the highest exp/minute quests in the game. Well worth the price if you want fast, easy experience at 18 or 19.

I'd recommend spamming firewalls over that area once the last boss is about to drop,
spam your targetting keys (for enemies and items) and do a wail of the banshee as soon as everything is dead.
The bug doesn't have many hp (maybe around 100 from my experience) and can be killed easily.
You'll have to kill the little thing as soon as it pops up to have a enough time to pick up the bag.
The 'binds to character' window will pop up, so make sure you click OK fast enough.
Good hunting!

this is what i meant btw i found out that after you kill the skeleton the bag sometimes drop i tried to pick it up for 5 minutes running the marut around but it wouldnt budge you cant pick it up it seems to be just a bug..
the 3rd time i actually was able to make a picture with the bag and the marut in the right in it..
very strange and this is what confused me because i thought that was the dweller.

Strange thing, definetly a bug.
The Eardweller bag is named 'Xachosian Eardweller', not 'Treasure Bag'

There are several areas where a collectible bag can drop and not be able to be picked up. That screenshot happened to most likely be a Funerary Token, but it glitched.
Other places I noticed that glitch were in Running with the Devils, Reclaiming Memories, New Invasion, and a few lower level quests.
