I saw one last night that had one spot left and the only classes they had up were rog and bard. There was a healer not sure what thing in common these two have that that would be all you would take for the last spot.

Charisma. They wanted someone with good charisma. They probably already had a sorc and God knows you can't complete a raid with more than one arcane. So they obviously needed someone with charisma who WASN'T a sorc. Logic would dictate a rogue or bard. Duh.

Or maybe they wanted a tumbler. Rogues and Bards both tumble quite proficiently so I bet they needed someone with high tumble. They certainly didn't want a monk because, despite being fine tumblers, monks make that annoying Hi-Yah sound as they incessantly fight the air during any tiny bit of downtime. They also didn't want a monk because monks steal kills from rogues and that makes the rogues mad. Mad rogues don't tumble as well as happy rogues so monks were excluded.

Of course, if this was a Shroud, it's obviously why they only wanted a bard or rogue: portal DPS!

Maybe it was a group like this? :)

I like the shroud run people had up last night that i tried to join. Party ran by a barb, with 2 other barbs in the party, removed barb from lfm due to wanting more dps toons of other classes, because barbs deal more dps when there are less of them. Mind you they were also looking for an intimatank so I had to back away slowly.

Just wait until the next update when they release the swashbuckler shield, those intimis are going to have a shield with doublestrike! So now they'll be able to smite things!

That puppy is satan! It deserves to die!

Please make it a public execution, because there's nothing good to watch on TV.

I ran a VON2 epic last night. You know the typical small-group-clears, then-call-folks-for-boss-fight.

Myself and a buddy did all the prep work with our 2 wizards. Opened the LFM ... "free chests, at boss, etc. etc.".

I don't care, so I took the first 4. Two FVS, another wizard and a sorc. Weeeee! Blue bars for the win!

My rogue got declined in an EDQ... because the leader is thinking rogues can't cut off the bawling strat! I chuckled I admit.

perhaps if you threatened to kick a puppy while in their HoX raid, people would be more responsive...

("Oops, it seems i accidentally spammed greater dispelling on that hound for a few minutes. and also the one right next to it. and i dropped a globe of invulnerability right on top of the third one. and i also managed to pull the hound's aggro right onto you as it was breathing bees...")

(of course, the rest of the group probably doesn't deserve that... which is why you need to find a way to run 11 instances of DDO on 11 different computers, and get all of your characters to the quest. then send a tell to the person who had the LFM up, invite them to your raid, tell them you have every other necessary position filled... hmmm... then again, sleet storm is probably an easier form of vengeance...)

Because all other classes can never amount to their dps.

UMD. Someone obviously wanted UMD class skills. Must be it. :D

Or someone who thought bards could disarm traps. I've met players who needed re-edjumacated on that and I'm not entirely sure where they getting the idea from.

They get the idea from the original DnD (pnp) Bard. Back around first/second edition, a bard began thier career as a fighter/thief multiclass.

First edition - had to be human, dual-class fighter/thief and then take the bard special class, which was basically an odd druid.

hehehe -- ... do I have to quit writing "All classes welcome"?

Because it's discriminating for a Sorcerer that his very spot would have indifferently been given to a Barbarian, too, for example, right, no, what??

Maybe
"Everytime you use senseless class discrimination in your LFM, Vellrad comes to your hound pug and kills your puppies there"?

I suppose either has an equally good chance at unlocking doors? Bards with umd and rogues with open lock? i dunno.

All the bards sold theirs, right? Or maybe kept a few after they plat-capped?
