is the humor value used up enough that I can point out that computer/video display hardware ships in containers like that, without being the stick in the mud guy?

I'd say that from the description it seems like they'd be giving a talk on the F2P format, but didn't they do that last year? Have no idea, never been able to actually go to PAX and never bothered to follow it on the nets.

There's plenty of humor value when it comes to Computer and Video display hardware...
Just ask anyone who was at one of the last West Coast Computer Faire conventions at Moscone Center in San Francisco, 1984.
To be precise, someone tripped on the curtain on the front of the the demo table, causing it to fall off the table revealing that the new Apple Computer on display, called "The Mac", was just a mock-up display connected to a DEC Vax hidden below the table. :D

Yes ... but so do Cubes of Force, Cubes of Frost Resistance, and especially Cubes of the Planes -- so that this is documentary Proof that U9 will take us to a new Plane of Reality, although precisely which one I will leave it to other people to work out ;)
